Lewis raised to 40K in the cutoff and Matusek called from the big blind. The flop came and Matusek pushed with . Lewis made the call with and he hit the on the turn to make his flush. The on the river didn't help Matusek and his stack was reduced to 105,000, while Lewis moved up to 310K.
Abels raised to 7,000 and Smith came over the top, setting Abels all-in. Ray called and turned over ; Smith had pocket Sevens. The flop came and Smith didn't catch a seven the rest of the way. Abels now has 250,000 and Smith 242,000.
In a battle of the blinds Ron Matusek raised and Bob Menake came over the top for his last 29,000. Matusek called with A-7; Menake had pocket Kings. An Ace spiked on the turn to give Matusek the lead and eventually the hand, and that eliminated Menake in 27th place.
David Icke and Rod Clarida played a huge pot. Icke raised to 30K from the cutoff, Clarida re-raised all-in and Icke called the extra 110,000. He held pocket Aces, Clarida had Jacks, and the Aces held up. That pot lifted Icke back up to 230,000, while Clarida's stack fell to 178,000.
The players were asked if they wanted to go to dinner after this level, and the answer was unanimous: "Yes." That might be the only question the folks in this tournament agree 100% on.

The flop gave Uchina the set, the on the turn gave him a boat, and the on the river gave him quads, as if the set alone wouldn't be enough to eliminate a former champion. But it was, and Brad Daughtery's day is at an end.
