The 'Dutchman' Sent Flying

Marcel Luske is free to go after he lost his remaining stack in the following manner. Marcel made it 1,200 to go pre flop. Antonio Salorio called, and the flop came 5 7 7. Marcel led out for 3,000, and Antonio pushes an oversized stack in, and announces a pot sized raise. The dealer cautions 'sir, its pot limit', but Luske says 'its ok', and puts the rest of his chips in. Marcel shows A A Q J, but his opponent shows 10 7 J Q, and has trip sevens. The turn and river blank out, and Marcel is out.

Vladimir Shcemecev KO'd by Ivey

Just before the break Vladimir flopped two pair and a straight draw against Phil Ivey, but the turn card put a pair of Jacks on the board, counterfeiting Vladimir's pairs and enabling Phil to win with Kings and Jacks. Phil now has 42000.

The turn and river bring a {2-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}, and Annie wins a good sized pot - her Aces holding up. The one player is eliminated, and Benyamine involes his red chip, and gets himself another 10k stack. Annie is up to about 67,000 with the win.

Kessler Straightens Up and Loses

It was a virtual limpathon, with six players seeing the flop. It went to heads up on a flop of {K-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} when a player in middle position bet out 1300 and Allen Kessler called. The turn was a {7-Diamonds} and the middle position player bet 3500 and Kessler called. They both checked the {7-Clubs} river. Kessler showed K-8-4-2 for the eight high straight while his opponent had K-J-9-8 for the nine high.
