Know When to Hold'em...And When to Fold'em

We are not sure who the happiest player on table 68 is. There was a frenzy of preflop betting that saw two players all in and Francois Safieddine, who was on the button with cards, still to make a decision.

He elected to fold his hand, face-up: pocket kings!

When the cards were rolled his instinct was justified, with one player having queens, but Hasan Habib rolled over the {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}!

The board came all low cards and Hasan took it down.

The Reign of Rain

Board: {4-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

Preflop, in middle position, Rain Khan bets 7,200 and the big blind calls. On the flop, the big blind checks. Khan bets 12,000 and the big blind raises all in to 61,000. Khan calls. The big blind shows {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}, but Khan has {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and busts the player. He's up to 572,000.

Music to Play Cards By

Poker players talk about more than just poker at the table, and so it was that a group of players were talking about which shows there were to see in Vegas.

During the conversation, they discovered that their dealer was involved in musical theater.

So of course they asked her to sing them a song. Rebecca was more than happy to oblige, breaking out into a number from "Phantom of the Opera."

Who needs to go see a show? The Amazon Room has it all.

Court is No Longer in Session

Court Harrington has been eliminated. After hanging tough with a short stack all day, Harrington moved all in for his last 10,000 on a flop of {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{7-Hearts}.

His opponent called with {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, better at the moment than Court's {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

The turn and river {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds} did not help Court and his tournament is over.

The hand that immediately followed Jon Turner making four of a kind and tripling up to 24,000, he was eliminated. Carl Olson, who had Turner well covered, moved all in preflop. Turner called and the players showed...

Turner: {K-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Olson: {A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}

The board helped neither player and Olson's ace-high was good. With 25 minutes remaining in Day 2b, Jon Turner headed to the rail.

Julian Powell on the Move

Julian Powell and Chris Ferguson
Julian Powell and Chris Ferguson
Julian is catching some cards this level, he has seen pocket aces twice and pocket kings once in just the last 20 minutes.

Julian told us that the bigger the name at his table, the more he wants to knock them out. So far he has eliminated Chip Reese and Michael Binger, and we think he has his eye on the gentleman two seats to his right, former WSOP winner Chris "Jesus" Ferguson.

Julian has moved his stack up close to the leaders and is sitting on close to 350000.
