"Show me 8-3!"

Scotty Nguyen raised to 84,000 pre-flop, Dario Minieri re-raised to 255,000, and Nguyen moved all in. Minieri folded, saying "Show me 8-3!" to Nguyen. The Prince of Poker did not oblige and mucked his cards.

After the hand, Nguyen was up to 2.4 million while Minieri slipped to 900,000.

Cory Carroll Loves the River

Cory Carroll
Cory Carroll
Team PokerNews' Mikkel Madsen raised to 65,000 pre-flop, Cory Carroll moved all in for 500,000 from the small blind and Madsen called. Madsen turned over {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} while Carroll showed {J-Clubs}{6-Hearts}-- clearly making a move there. The flop was {A-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} with Madsen keeping his lead. The turn was the {2-Hearts} and Carroll would need a jack to survive. The river was... the {J-Spades} and Carroll doubled up.

After the hand, Madsen was down to 620,000 while Carroll was up to about 1,000,000.

Richard Crowell Eliminated in Multi-Way Pot

Chad Brown limps in from early position and Richard Crowell moves all in for 225,000 from middle position. Matt Keikoan calls from late position, as does Kenneth Smith from the small blind, and Brown also makes the call.

The Flop comes {K-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Chad Brown fires out 200,000. Keikoan folds and Smith makes the call for the side pot, putting himself all in.

Crowell {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Brown {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Smith {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

The turn {7-Diamonds} and {7-Hearts} river change nothing and Kenneth Smith wins both the main and side pots, eliminating Richard Crowell.
