Nut Flush

Markus Golser enters the pot with a raise and gets called in the cut off by Joseph Sanders before the flop comes:

{J-Spades} {5-Clubs} {10-Spades}

Markus checks to Joseph, who bets 6,000, before Markus raises to 12,000. Joseph makes the call before we see the turn:

{9-Spades}

Markus leads out for 12,000. Joseph raises to 24,000. Markus then bumps it up a bit more, 36,000 total, leaving only loose change behind. Joseph makes the call and we head to the river:

{K-Clubs}

Markus throws in his final chips and Joeseph, who only has a little more than Markus, makes the call. Markus tables {A-Spades} {5-Spades} for the nut flush and the pot.

Joseph mucks and looks down at his remaining 1,600 chips.
Markus up to a healthy 167,000 chips now.

Double Knock Out

Zac Fellows knocked out Eric Pratt and Duc Nguyen on the same hand, bringing our field down to 13 players.

Nguyen got all his chips in preflop, and after the flop came {10-Hearts} {2-Spades} {5-Spades}, Pratt bet his last 8000.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and the hands were tabled. Pratt had {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}, Fellows had {J-Hearts} {5-Hearts}, and Nguyen mucked his cards. The river was the {7-Spades} and Fellows raked the pot.

Vinny Takes a Knock

Jimmy Shultz was under the gun and raised it up and only found a caller from Vinny Vinh in the big blind. The flop came down:

{8-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {6-Hearts}

Vinh checked to see Shultz bet 8,000 before he raised to 16,000. The raising didn't stop there, as Vinh made it 24,000 and Shultz then made it 36,000. Vinh made the call so we headed to the turn:

{A-Spades}

Vinh check-raised Shultz's 16,000 bet up to 32,000. Shultz called. The river came:

{A-Clubs}

Vinh had already placed a 16,000 bet out there and Shultz obliged by calling.

Vinh flipped over {8-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} but was cruely conterfeited by Shultz's {10-?} {10-?}.

A disgruntled Vinh shook his head then spread his remaining chips around in front of him. He is now down to around 145,000.

Shultz is up to just under 300,000.

Stubborn Until the End

Markus Golser raises to 16,000 from the cutoff before John O'Brien makes it 24,000 to play. Golser makes the call. The flop comes:

{3-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {J-Hearts}

Golser check-calls an 8,000 bet from O'Brien so we see the turn:

{7-Spades}

Golser check-calls a 16,000 bet from O'Brien this time so we go to the river:

{10-Spades}

Same pattern here, as Golser check-calls a 16,000 from O'Brien once again.

O'Brien taps the table and congratulates Golser on a great call holding {A-?} {8-?} . O'Brien's {K-?} {Q-?} is no good for this pot.

Shkolnik Triples

Steve Shklonik was in dire need of some help from the deck when he raised from the cutoff preflop. He was reraised and called by Zac Fellows and Christoph Niesert.

The flop came {3-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}, and with Shklonik all in, Fellows tried to build a side pot. Niesert opted out and folded, and the cards were tabled. Fellows turned pocket fives and Shkolnik gladly turned his pocket eights.

The board failed to help Fellows, as the turn brought the {6-Clubs} and the river {Q-Clubs}.

Shkolnik now has 145,000

Set Over Set

Markus Golser took another chunk of chips off of John O'Brien in the last hand before the break. Both flopped sets, but Golser's set of nines was better than O'Brien's set of eights.
