Tony Dunst Has Been Eliminated

After a player raised to 1,100 Andrew Balduff called and Tony Dunst then moved in for his last 5,700. The original raiser folded, Balduff called, and his {9-Diamonds} {9-Spades} was racing Dunst's {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}. That race turned into a rout when Balduff flopped a set and Dunst was drawing dead on the turn.

Heavy Table Emerges

The entire Orange section has been broken creating a wave of new tables in the Blue section. One of them currently holds Layne Flack, Humberto Brenes, and Chau Ging.

Jesus Likes the Action

Chris "Jesus" Ferguson was in the big blind when a player from early position shoved for his remaining chips. A player in late position moved all in for his remaining 16,000 when Ferguson looked down to see pocket aces. Ferguson called the all-in, who had him covered, while the original raiser showed pocket queens. Ferguson's other opponent showed pocket kings and they were off to the flop.

Ferguson flopped an ace and the other players failed to improve. After the hand, Ferguson is up to 26,000.

Hasan Habib Picks Up a Pot

After a flop of {7-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {9-Spades} the player in the small blind checked and Hasan Habib bet 500. The small blind check-raised to 2,500 and Habib made the call. He also called when the small blind fired out 2,500 when the {3-Diamonds} turned. When the {6-Diamonds} hit on the river the other player check-called Habib's 4,000, and mucked after Habib turned over 10-8 for the straight. He now sits with 30,000.

Bonomo Has Better Things To Do

Our reporter got to the table after the action had completed, but Justin Bonomo was eliminated from the event when his J-3 lost after being all in against another player's A-8. Bonomo looked at our reporter and said, "If you report this, it was because I'm playing in the Stud Championship (which started five minutes ago) and that's the only reason that just happened."

Bonomo has been eliminated and is now enjoying some 7-Card Stud.

Half the Field, Come and Gone

We started the day with a total of 1,390 players and we are now down to just 630 remaining. We've already lost more than half the field and we still have over an hour and a half until the dinner break. We reach the money at 99 players, will it be reached sometime tonight?
