Calling Shavonne Mitchell

Our chip leader from day one, Shavonne Mitchell, must think her 94,000 chips are enough to warrant some extra time. Or maybe she wants to make an entrance. Either way, Mitchell has still yet to show up to day two and will be blinded and anted off until she arrives. Her bag sits propped on the table, ripped open so that the dealer can reach in and grab out chips as play orbits.

Enter Shavonne

Shavonne Mitchell did indeed make quite an entrance, striding into the tournament area atop sky-high heels about 20 minutes into play. She's hard to miss, cutting a statuesque figure in a bright yellow halter dress with a crystal belt.

Famous Railbirds

Two-time WSOP bracelet winner Barry Greenstein just stopped by the ladies tournament to check on his friend Linda Johnson. He wished her good luck with a hug and then dashed off to return to his own tournament table.

Michelle Law Flushed Out

Michelle Law moved all in from middle position trying to double up. Christine Fanelli put in about half her stack to make the call.

Fanelli: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}
Law: {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}

The flop was clean for Law, {J-Hearts} {10-Spades} {4-Hearts} and she only needed to dodge the turn and river in order to double up.

The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and then the dealer laid down the law with the {7-Hearts} on the river, giving Fanelli a queen-high flush. Law was disappointed and unlucky, but moved to the rail in a sportsmanlike manner.

Enkhjargal Ochirbat Doubles Up

From the small blind, Enkhjargal Ochirbat moved all in with her remaining 7,000. The big blind made the call with the {A-Clubs} {2-Spades}. Ochirbat showed two live cards, {K-Diamonds} {7-Clubs}.

The flop gave Ochirbat a big lead, as she spiked trip kings... {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {2-Diamonds}. The turn ended all chances for her opponent when the fourth and final king hit the board and delivered quads to Ochirbat. She is now up to 16,000.
