Playing the Bully

John Strzemp raises to 175,00 preflop, Jason Young deep reaches for a million in chips from the big blinds. Strzemp folds. "I had K-Q," he claims.

Dinner Break

On the final hand before the agreed dinner break, Mike Schwartz folds the button (after asking how long was left and decided to "wait till after dinner"), Jason Young makes up the small blind and John Strzemp checks.

{7-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{9-Spades}

Check, check.

Turn = {2-Hearts}

Young bets 50,000, Strzemp folds.

We're now on the 60 minute dinner break.

We're Back

Our three remaining players have just returned from dinner, and their chip counts as yet remain at their pre-dinner break levels.

Double Slowplay

No groundbreaking pots as of yet, just blind stealing and the odd walk. I did catch an interesting hand between Mike Schwartz and Jason Young though, both players slow-playing big hands. Somehow {A-Spades}{8-Hearts} versus {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} on an {8-Spades}{A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Spades} board was checked all the way down to the river where Schwartz's bet of 75,000 was smooth-called by Young's top pair.

"Boy, I could have gone bust on that hand, but just lost 75,000," commented Young after the hand.

Fatigue Showing

Strzemp raises to 180,000 on the button, and small blind Schwartz calls. Schwartz checks the {J-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {8-Spades} flop, and Strzemp tries to bet 350,000. He very slowly counts out 200,000. Jason Young protests this, and the dealer counts the chips out, mistaking the ten-high stacks of 5,000 chips for things equaling 100,000 in value. Young protests again, and a conglomerate of Strzemp, Schwartz and the dealer keep counting and recounting until everyone is satisfied. "I can't do math any more, I'm so tired," sighs Strzemp.

After all this though, Schwartz folds, showing the {J-Clubs}.

On the Comeback Trail

John Strzemp has been fighting back of late, winning three hands in quick succession.

Firstly, he raised Jason Young's button raise of 175,000 all in. Young folded.

The next hand he button raised himself to take the blinds, Schwartz and Young both folding the small and big respectively.

Then, a couple of hands later, he bet 100,000 on a {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Spades} to snap up another small pot.

Strzemp now on 1,350,000
