Woody Decked

Woody Deck has been knocked out in the first level by an unkown player. The board was {K-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {J-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}, and all the money went in on the turn.

The two of Woody's cards that mattered were {9-Spades} {10-Hearts} for the bottom end of the straight, but it was no good against {10-Spades} {K-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} for the nut straight.

The Ups and Downs of Omaha

Vanessa Selbst
Vanessa Selbst
A couple of interesting hands involving Vanessa Selbst:

On the first hand, Selbst raised to 150 from middle position and Doug Lee called from the small blind. The flop came {6-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}. Lee checked, Selbst bet 400, and Lee called. The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and Lee bet out 500. Selbst mucked, and didn't look too happy when she did.

On the next hand, an early position player raised to 150, Selbst reraised behind to 300, the EP player pushed all in, and Selbst called. The EP player showed {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. Selbst showed {A-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}.

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}, and that deuce in Selbst's hand helped her eliminate her opponent. She's now up to 3,200.

"I'm Here to Uber-Gamble"

Tim "Tmay420" West just went all in with 3-4-5-6 and found himself up against a player holding A-A-Q-J double-suited. West flopped two pair, then turned a straight to stay alive.

West apologized to his opponent afterwards. "I'm just here to uber-gamble," West said, explaining that his brother was playing on a final table shortly, so he either wanted to double up and build a big stack or bust out early.
