One of Those Days

Greg Raymer
Greg Raymer
On a flop of {4-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, Carol Kline bet 1,200, and Greg Raymer made the call. The turn was the {7-Diamonds}. Kline checked, Raymer bet 3,500, Kline reraised all in, and Raymer called.

Raymer {Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Kline {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

The river brought the {7-Clubs}, pairing the board and giving Kline the full house. Kline was up to 14,800, and Raymer down to 1,700.

On the very next hand, Raymer was dealt {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and pushed all in, getting one caller who held {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. A flop of 4-7-8 gave Raymer the straight, but a jack on the turn gave his opponent a better one. The river brought no help for Raymer, and he is out.

The Master At Work

Men 'The Master' Nguyen and an unknown player have just had a preflop all-in confrontation. Nguyen was holding {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} to his opponent's {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {10-Spades}.

The board came {8-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {3-Spades} {8-Diamonds} to eliminate the unknown player and propel Nguyen up to 17,000.

"I Got Nothin'. I Call You Anyway"

Men "the Master" Nguyen raised to 525, another player raised his last 1,475, and Nguyen, saying the above, made the call.

Nguyen's {Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{2-Spades} didn't look so hot next to his opponent's {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, but a board of 3-7-5-6-5 gave Nguyen a pair of sevens, enough to eliminate another player. Nguyen is up to 22,500.

Gavin Smith Out

A late-position player raised pot, Gavin Smith reraised all in, and the LP player called. Smith's K-K-x-x couldn't overcome his opponent's A-A-x-x, and Smith hit the rail.

Sick Spin Up

Jordan Morgan was down to his last 1,700 chips but after three hands played in a row he is up to to 12,700. The second of the three hands saw him make a straight flush holding {7-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {5-Clubs} on a board of {9-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {J-Spades}.

The third hand saw him make a full house with {9-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} on a {J-Spades} {J-Hearts} {3-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {6-Spades} board. Easy game, sometimes!

Quack, Quack!

A middle-position player raised to 600, the button called, and Paul "X-22" Magriel called from the big blind.

The flop came {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}. Magriel bet 1,600, the MP player called, and the button folded. The turn was the {J-Diamonds}. Magriel pushed all in with his last 4,750, and the button called. Magriel showed {A-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for top two and a diamond draw, and his opponent showed {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{K-Hearts} for the club draw.

The river brought the {7-Diamonds}, and Magriel is up to 16,000.
