Welcome Back to Day 2 of Event #19, the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha

Vannesa Selbst starts today as our big chip leader on 203,600 and holding up the rest of the pack is Ken Lairson on 7,600. No player can be discounted, though, as this is PLO and it's not uncommon to see triple-ups. The play was frantic yesterday and if it carries on in the same vein today we will be at our final table of nine in no time at all.

Cards are in the air as play gets underway.

Holland Doubles Up

Randy Holland raised to 2,000 from the cutoff, Daniel Martin reraised to 7,000 from the button, and Holland called. The flop came {7-Spades}{3-Spades}{J-Clubs}. Holland pushed his last 7,300 in the middle, and Martin made the call.

Holland {4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{K-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Martin {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and the river the {K-Diamonds}. Holland's set of kings took the pot, and he's now up to around 29,000. Martin, meanwhile, has dropped to about 10,000.

Mike Cook Eliminated in 46th ($3,522)

Rob Hollink bet 6,000, Mike Cook reraised the pot, Jordan Morgan then repopped it from the small blind with another pot-sized reraise, Hollink folded, and Cook made the call, putting the last of his chips in the middle.

Morgan showed {Q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}, and Cook showed {A-Spades}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{K-Spades}. The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, and Morgan's trip tens meant Cook was done for the day.

Morgan is up around 110,000.

Jesper Rivered

Jesper Hougaard just lost a smallish early pot to Mel Randolph on the river. Hougaard was in the the lead with {10-?} {10-?} x x when the turn came out to bring a board of {8-Clubs} {2-Spades} {J-Hearts} {10-Spades} but he wasn't going to get rid of Randolph holding {10-?} {J-?} {A-?} {A-?}

The river came {A-Hearts} to see Randolph take the lead and the pot.

Hougaard drops to around 65,000.

DeSerrano Doubles Up With Aces

Mark DeSerrano raised pot from the button, Anthony Phillips reraised pot from the big blind, and DeSerrano called with the rest of his chips.

Phillips showed {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}, and DeSerrano {J-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{3-Hearts}. The board brought all baby cards -- 5-3-8-3-5 -- and DeSerrano's aces held up.

DeSerrano is up to 46,000, while Phillips has about 73,000.

Ship Arriving Late

Max Pescatori just arrived about thirty minutes into today's play. He is short-stacked, and had been blinded down under 10,000 by the time he took his seat.

Jae Kim Eliminated in 44th ($3,833)

In a hand that started one way, swung the other way, and then back again, Jae Kim railed early on in play. All the chips went in preflop against Tony Cousineau, who was holding {A-Spades} {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {5-Clubs} to Kim's {Q-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {6-Spades}.

The flop {K-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {6-Clubs} saw Kim grab the lead before the turn {J-Hearts} saw Cousineau take it back.

The river {2-Hearts} changed nothing and Kim shook hands and headed off.

Consineau is back up to 30,000 after taking a hit before this hand.
