Tran Takes Charge

James Akenhead raises the pot, making it 80,000 to go. It folds around to the small blind, Theo Tran, who makes the call. The big blind is not so passive. Scott Montgomery reraises big, and Akenhead folds. Not to be outdone, Tran reraises all in.

Montgomery makes the quick call, and turns over rockets, {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}. Theo Tran shows down {9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, and is a big underdog.

The flop comes down perfect for Tran, {J-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, as he rallies to make the flush, leaving his opponent drawing to runner-runner. The turn and river blank off, and Montgomery is eliminated.

Theo Tran is now our new chip leader at 1,345,000.
