Lerner Likes the River

With the action folded around to the small blind, Daniel Negreanu completed and Derek Lerner checked his option. The flop was {K-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {2-Hearts} and both players checked. The turn was the {A-Diamonds}. Negreanu bet and Lerner called. The river was the {4-Clubs}. Negreanu bet, Lerner raised and Negreanu called.

Lerner showed K-4 for a rivered two pair and Negreanu mucked. Both Lerner and his twin brother (who is sweating him from the stands) let out a whoop as he dragged the pot.

"Can you just let me sulk in peace?" replied an irritated Negreanu.

Packed Arena

The "No Limit Lounge" here in the Amazon room of the Rio is pretty full at the start of today's final table. Many spectators are interested in watching Daniel Negreanu, while others are here in bunches to support their friends and family.

Greg Mueller and Jeff Madsen are also in attendance to watch some of their fellow players go for the bracelet.
