Straight Flush for Phan

Young Phan has enjoyed a double-up to around 70,000. He was a massive favorite going into the hand, getting it in preflop with {10-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} against an opponent's {10-Spades} {9-Spades}, but in the end he improved further, making an extraordinary straight flush on the {K-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} board.

Lee Runs Good

Andrew Lee has eliminated an opponent, calling him all in with A-Q. The opponent was holding 5-7 and flopped two pair, but a relieved Lee hit runner-runner queens for trips to knock him out.

Board: J-5-7-Q-Q

Huang Tough

Yue Huang has been on a massive rampage, turning about 90,000 into 230,000 in just a few hands.

First, he eliminated Ernest Bennett -- Yue raised to 10,000 with pocket nines, Bennett went all in for 25,000 total, and Huang called. The K-2-3-8-5 board changed nothing, and Huang raced ahead.

Then a few hands after that, he took a massive pot off overnight chip leader Dustin Dirksen. Huang raised 10,000 from the cutoff and Dirksen called from the big blind. They saw a {2-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} flop and Huang bet 15,000. Dirksen called. Huang bet another 20,000 on the {2-Hearts} turn and went all in for 69,000 on the {Q-Spades} river, and each time Dirksen called. Huang turned over {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} for the flopped nuts, and Dirksen mucked.

Mount Dylan Erupts

When Dylan Bircheff responds to the conclusion of a hand, you're never sure whether he has won or lost, or even choppped!

As seems customary with any of his showdowns, Bircheff rises from his seat, walks around and shouts out random motivational phrases to himself.

As the final card is dealt, he positively erupts, shouting, punching the air and generally refusing to confine any tensions he may have.

His recent encounter followed a similar pattern, and again it wasn't until the hand was reported that we actually found out who'd won.

It was Tom Braband who was all in, his A-K looking to hit against Bircheff's nines. However, no ace or king emerged, the third nine on the turn of a 7-5-2-9-8 board giving Bircheff the set, the hand, and a notch on his poker bedpost.

Bircheff is now on 80,000.

Sealey Seals the Deal

Conor "Sealey" Tate has more than doubled up to around 170,000 with aces.

He raised to 11,100 preflop, and Paul Smith to his direct left made it 30,000. A short-stacked Charles Dolan called all in, and Tate reraised all in -- Smith asked for a count, and was told it was around 40,000. Smith called.

Dolan: {K-Hearts} {J-Hearts}
Smith: {Q-Spades} {Q-Hearts}
Tate: {A-Clubs} {A-Spades}

Tate scooped the lot, Dolan was eliminated, and Smith had to pay up, but it turned out the dealer had miscounted the chips. Eventually the floor ruled that Smith had to pay the extra chips regardless -- he looked rather sour as he said, "1,000 more?" holding up a single yellow chip. But then he laughed as he handed it over to Tate.
