Gargantuan Stack

We approach the table with a flop of {4-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} {2-Hearts}.

The two players involved are Kyle Wilson and Tony Gargano. A series of bets and raises see all the money go in the on the flop.

Wilson tables {A-Hearts} {4-Clubs}
Gargano tables {2-Spades} {2-Diamonds}

The money was always going in on this flop. After a count it works out that Gargano has Kyle slightly covered.

The turn comes {8-Hearts} and river {5-Clubs}.

Gargano is our new chip leader with 365,000 and Wilson is out.

Ali Salman is Swimming in Chips

Ali Salman made a huge call when his opponent bet all in for approximately 110,000. Salman said "I got a read on you... I call" and turned over top pair, queens, with a jack kicker. His read was correct as his opponent had second pair, nines and Salman took in the 240,000 that was in the pot.

Ace Magnet

If you've ever had pocket kings you know that they tend to attract aces to the board. Mark Seif would have to agree as he has been eliminated when his pocket kings were beaten by Brian Olsson's ace king. On the same hand an unnamed player was also eliminated with pocket queens.

Olsson has 145,000.

New Chip Leader

Richard Alm has become the overall chip leader after raking in a monster pot. Alm and his opponent got all their chips in the pot preflop and when the hands were shown Alm's {10-Spades} {10-Hearts} were behind his opponent's {K-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}.

Alm jumped from big underdog to favorite when the flop came {J-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {2-Spades} and Alm had a set. The turn brought the {A-Hearts} and the river the {8-Diamonds} and Alm stacked the monster pot, bringing his total to 320,000.

Never Say Die

It's folded around to Greg Mueller, who moves in from the cutoff and finds a caller in the small blind.

He's dominated once more with his {K-Spades} {7-Diamonds}, as the small blind has {K-Diamonds} {10-Clubs}.

The board comes {6-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {5-Hearts} {5-Spades}.

Mueller turns a straight to hang in there on 22,000.

Awadios

After taking several recent hits Joe Awada has been eliminated. On his final hand Awada got his chips in with the best hand preflop when he pushed with {A-Spades} {K-Hearts}. His opponent called with {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} and hit the {Q-Spades} sending Awada to the rail.
