Terrence Chan
Terrence Chan
With but a handful of chips left bet and Hoyt Corkins raised from the blind for Chan's last 1,000. He called and his {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts} led Corkins' {7-Hearts} {3-Clubs}. The {6-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {4-Spades} gave Corkins a straight draw but the {Q-Hearts} and {6-Spades} followed and Chan doubled to 23,000.

Shortly therafter Chan doubled again, this time against Aaron Katz. Chan held {A-Clubs} {9-Clubs} to Katz's {A-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} and when both players paired their kickers on the {Q-Clubs} {9-Spades} {6-Spades} flop Chan check-raised all in and Katz called. Chan caught the {9-Hearts} on the turn to lock up the hand and doubled his stack to 55,000.

"All right then, back to folding," Chan said.

Spencer Lawrence Eliminates Anahit Galajian

Before the flop Lawrence bet, Galajian raised, and Lawrence called. The flop came {8-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {10-Hearts} and Lawrence check-called Galajian's 5,000 bet. The turn was the {K-Diamonds} and this time Lawrence check-raised when Galajian bet. A blank fell on the river and this time Galajian check-called for the last of her chips. Lawrence showed {K-Clubs} {Q-Spades} and Galajian flashed the {A-Diamonds} before mucking. She's been eliminated and Lawrence is up to 150,000.

Zachary Hyman Has Been Eliminated

Hyman raised before the flop and Matt Woodward called in the big blind. The flop came {Q-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} and Woodward check-raised, forcing Hyman to commit the rest of his chips. He found that his {J-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} had been outflopped by Woodward's {Q-Hearts} {8-Hearts} and when the board ran out {5-Clubs} {2-Clubs} Hyman was eliminated.

Tim Kasparoff is Our Bubble Boy

Tim Kasparoff pushed his remaining chips into the middle from the small blind after Tommy Hang had called from middle position. Everyone got out of the way and Kasparoff showed pocket eights to Hang's A-10. The flop looked dangerous for Kasparoff, {3-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {2-Hearts}, as a five, ace, or ten meant the end of his tournament life.

The {10-Hearts} fell on the turn and Kasparoff was left drawing to an eight, which didn't come, leaving him to be the bubble boy of event #30.

Buchman Catches Runners

J.C. Tran led out preflop and Eric Buchman made it two bets to go. Tran reraised and Buchman called. The flop came {3-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {K-Spades} and Buchman check-called Tran. The turn brought the {J-Diamonds} and again Buchman check-called. The river was the {10-Diamonds} and this time Buchman led out and was called by Tran. Buchman showed {Q-Spades} {9-Spades} for the straight while Tran showed {A-Spades} {K-Clubs} for top pair top kicker.

After the hand, Buchman is up to 95,000.
