Tommy Hang Wins a Pot from Andy Bloch

Andy Bloch bet out and Tommy Hang raised from the cutoff. Bloch called and they saw a {2-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} flop. Bloch checked, Hang bet 6,000 and Bloch check-raised. Hang called and the turn was the {5-Diamonds}. Bloch bet 12,000 and this time Hang raised. Bloch called and he check-called Hang's bet after the {9-Hearts} fell on the river. Hand showed {A-Spades} {4-Spades} for the wheel on the turn and Bloch took a long look at his cards. "Wow," he said as he tossed them in the muck, "nice hand". Block slipped to 355,000 and Hang moved up to 195,000.

Double Ups All Around

If this is the 'Year of the Pro', then the last level here in the $10,000 World Championship Limit event should be dubbed 'Level of the Double Up'. With nearly every small stack pushing all their chips into the middle, almost every single one of them survived, some, multiple times over. The blinds have been up at 4,000/8,000 now, so time will tell if the streak continues for these shortstacks.

Cy Jassinowsky Gets Action with his Aces

Cy Jassinowsky raised from the cutoff and Tommy Hang called in the small blind. The flop came {6-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {A-Clubs}, Hang checked, then when Jassinowsky bet out Hang check-raised. Jassinowsky called, and when the {3-Clubs} turned Hang bet out. Jassinowky now raised, and Hang called. The river was the {9-Spades} and Hang check-called Jassinowsky's bet, to find that he'd been up against Cy's {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} and his flopped full house. Jassinowsky is now up to 185,000 while Hang fell to 220,000.

Thomas Johnston Eliminated in 20th Place ($20,492)

Thomas Johnston moved all in as a shortstack in the dark and was called by Tex Barch. Barch showed pocket aces and Johnston opted not to reveal until the hand was over.

The board ran {A-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {J-Spades} {5-Clubs}, which looked bad for Johnston. Unless he held pocket jacks or pocket fives, he'd be eliminated. Johnston turned them over one at a time, showing a five first which sent a roar through the crowd sweating the table. However, the {10-Hearts} was his second card, which failed to help him beat Barch's full house.

Todd Witteles is Eliminated in 19th Place ($20,492)

Witteles was crippled in a hand with Michael Mizrachi where his pocket kings lost out when the river put a four-flush on the board and Mizrachi took the pot. Chris Vitch eliminated Witteles when, after a {A-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {8-Clubs} flop, Todd bet, Chris raised, Witteles reraised and Vitch put in a final bet that set Witteles all in. His {J-Spades} {6-Clubs} trailed Vitch's {A-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} and the {8-Spades} {5-Clubs} on the turn and river meant the end of Witteles' day.

Tran Off Life Support

At the start of the redraw, JC Tran had around 40,000 in chips. He later takes down a large pot, which builds his stack heading into the following hand.

A flop was seen between Aaron Katz, JC Tran, and Matt Woodward.

Flop: {Q-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {4-Hearts}

Tran checked, as did Woodward, and Katz led out. Both Tran and Woodward called. The turn was the {K-Diamonds} and again both players checked to Katz, who led out. Tran raised and both players called. The river was the {A-Clubs} and Tran fired into the pot again and was called by Woodward, while Katz folded.

Tran turned over pocket fours for a set, which was good enough to take scoop in the pot and put him up over 200,000.
