Negreanu Looks Up Booth

Daniel Negreanu completed the bet with the {6-Hearts} showing, and was called by seat three showing the {J-Diamonds} and Brad Booth with the {A-Spades} up. Negreanu drew the {4-Clubs}, and led out with a bet. Seat three and Booth both made the call. Booth picked up the {A-Diamonds} to pair his door card on fifth street, and he took control of the action.

Negreanu: (X) (X) {6-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {4-Spades} (X)
Seat 3: (X) (X) {J-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {2-Spades} FOLD
Booth: (X) (X) {A-Spades} {6-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} (X)

After Booth took the lead on fifth, he bet the last two streets, and got called by Negreanu both times. He turned over {A-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {A-Spades} {6-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {8-Hearts}, and watched Negreau flip his cards towards the muck. Booth's trip aces was enough to ship him a nice pot here early in Level 2.

Seat 3: (X) (X) {J-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {5-Diamonds} (X)
John Racener: (X) (X) {7-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {6-Spades} {Q-Hearts} (X)

At the showdown, Madsen turned up {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {7-Spades} {4-Clubs} {8-Spades} for aces up and an eight-seven low. Both the other players mucked and Madsen was able to scoop a sizable pot in the early level.

No More Buffets

Huck Seed is in the field and looking for action--some action on his side bet, that is. Huckleberry says he's at 14% body fat right now, and is looking for takers on a bet that he can get that down to 5% within two months. That's not an easy task when you spend the majority of your days sitting in a chair and eating casino food.

Aces Up Good for Wattel

Farzad Rouhani: (X) (X) {2-Clubs} {8-Spades} {5-Hearts} {9-Spades} (X)
Mike Wattel: (X) (X) {5-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {A-Clubs} (X)

On third and fourth, Wattel did the betting with Rouhani calling. On fifth street, the action switched with Rouhani betting and Wattel calling. Then on sixth and seventh, it switched back to Wattel betting and Rouhani calling.

Basketball... Again

Once again, the NBA finals are on the televisions surrounding the tables in the Amazon room. Many players are sitting down only for brief moments to check out their hands before they make their way over to watch the game. This seems to be a common occurrence when the games are on. Play usually slows down, with all the big name players having a lot of money riding on the game.

Some Hardware Arrives at the Table

Event # 24 Champion Max "Italian Pirate" Pescatori has just joined us in the field. He has taken a seat at Table 19 across from Andy Bloch, Steve Zolotow, and "Tex" Barch. Pescatori is lacking his red, white, and green bandana today, but he is sporting his recently-acquired gold bracelet.

Negreanu completed and then bet on fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh street. His opponent called each time. After the last call, Negreanu said, "That's a good call, no pair."

Marcel Luske just got scooped in a pot, with his up cards showing {J-?} {J-?} {Q-?} {Q-?}. The pot was built to over 3,000, before Luske lost at showdown to {7-?} {6-?} {5-?} {4-?} {3-?} {5-?} {6-?}. After taking that hit, the Dutchman is down to half his starting stack, 5,200.
