Friendly Poker

All four players limped to see a flop of {9-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Layne Flack bet 200,000 from under the gun/the cutoff, and took the pot.

On the next hand, Flack got a walk in his big blind.

Friendly for Flack, anyhow.

It's Building

A sense of tension surrounds the final four as we are now right at the business end of the tournament. Poker tournaments in general are top heavy in terms of payouts and this is where the jumps between payouts are the greatest. Factor all this in, it’s no wonder things are tense out there.

Alioto Doubles Through Flack

Layne Flack and Dario Alioto saw a flop of {10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{Q-Spades} from the blinds. Flack checked, Alioto bet 105,000, and Flack called. The turn was the {A-Diamonds}. Flack checked quickly. Alioto then bet the pot -- 300,000. Flack reraised enough to put Alioto all in, and he called.

Flack: {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Alioto: {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

The river didn't help Flack, and Alioto had doubled up to over 1.2 million. Flack still has nearly 2 million.

Flack Keeps Up the Pressure

Layne Flack raised to 175,000, and Daniel Makowsky called. Flop came {A-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Both checked. The turn was the {8-Hearts}. Both checked again.

The river was the {2-Diamonds}. Makowsky checked, Flack bet 200,000, and Makowsky let it go.

Check-Check-Check-Check

A four-way limped pot. The flop came {6-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts}, and all checked. The turn was the {6-Diamonds}. All four checked again.

The river was the {9-Hearts}. Check-check-check-check.

Jacobo Fernandez showed a nine-high straight to take the pot.

The Last Two Hands

Just a couple of limped heads-up pots. Fernandez took a small one from Flack. Then Alioto took another small one from Flack.

Short break here as the ESPN360 folks get their system back up again.

Forehead Tells

No Tell There!
No Tell There!
Layne Flack has been wearing his orange-tinted sunglasses throughout this final table. The only thing is, they've been continuously balanced over his forehead rather than his eyes. Good job really, as I've always thought it's his forehead that gives him away!

Dario Alioto Eliminated in 4th Place ($180,534)

Dario Alioto - 3rd Place
Dario Alioto - 3rd Place
Flack again raised to 175,000 from the cutoff/under the gun. Dario Alioto called from the button, and the blinds got out. The flop came {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. Flack checked, Alioto bet pot, Flack came back over the top, and Alioto called.

Flack: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Alioto: {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

Flack was ahead, but Alioto had a ton of outs.

The turn was the {J-Spades}, and Flack's aces were still good.

The river was the {Q-Hearts}, and Alioto is out in fourth. Flack is now up over three million.
