Jacobo Bets His Draw

Daniel Makowsky and Jacobo Fernandez both limped, Dario Alioto folded from the small blind, and Tim West checked his option.

The flop came {2-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Clubs}. West and Makowsky checked, and Fernandez bet 60,000, winning the pot, showing the {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} as he dragged the chips.

Two in a Row for Fernandez

Jacobo Fernandez and Dario Alioto limped, Tim West completed from the small blind, and Daniel Makowsky checked in the big blind.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. It was checked to Fernandez who bet 96,000, and everyone folded.

Seeing Flops, Gathering Chips

Jacobo Fernandez limped again (third hand running), this time from UTG+1. All folded to Kyle Kloeckner who checked his option in the big blind.

The flop came {6-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Both checked. The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and both checked again. The river was the {K-Diamonds}. Kloeckner checked, Fernandez bet the pot, and Kloeckner let it go.

Scary Raise Gives Flack Chip Lead

Layne Flack raised 75,000. It folded to Kyle Kloeckner in the small blind. He thought a bit, then dropped out 245,000 in front of him. Jacobo Fernandez folded in the big blind, and Flack didn't hesitate at all before reraising pot to 759,000 total (leaving himself just 123,000 behind).

Kloeckner had to think about this one. Calling would mean committing just about his entire stack. After a minute or so, he laid it down.

That hand knocked Kloeckner down to 590,000. Flack has reassumed the chip lead with nearly 1.2 million.

Updated Chip Counts

Layne Flack 1,115,000
Dario Alioto 1,008,000
Jacobo Fernandez 753,000
Ted Forrest 708,000
Kyle Kloeckner 590,000
Daniel Makowsky 528,000
Michael Guzzardi 214,000
Tim West 180,000

Kloeckner Lands on His Feet

Dario Alioto raised to 65,000, and Kyle Kloeckner called from the button. Jacobo Fernandez folded in the small blind, and Layne Flack called from the big blind.

The flop was the {3-Spades}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Flack and Alioto checked, and Kloeckner bet 179,000. Both folded, and Kloeckner got a little back.

The Last Three Hands

1. Jacobo Fernandez raised to 60,000 from the button, winning the blinds.

2. Dario Alioto raised to 65,000, and it folded to Layne Flack who called from the button. The blinds folded, and the flop came {4-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Both checked. The turn was the {J-Spades}. Alioto slowly counted out 90,000 and pushed the orange chips forward. Flack quickly let it go.

3. Flack raised to 70,000 from the cutoff, and Alioto called from the big blind. The flop came {7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and both checked. The turn was the {Q-Clubs}, and they checked again. They both checked the {8-Hearts} on the river as well. Flack showed {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for jacks and eights, and took the pot.

Westing Time

Tim West has only voluntarily put chips into one pot today, and that was when he moved all in and doubled up through Michael Guzzardi.

He's very short again and will need to make a move, even if he just wants to make it to the next pay level.

After a hand in which Ted Forrest raised pot to 84,000 to take the blinds, the following hand took place.

Dario Alioto raised to 65,000 from the button, Tim West reraised all in -- his last 156,000 -- from the small blind, and Daniel Makowsky folded from the big blind. Alioto called.

West: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Alioto: {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

The flop came {10-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, giving Alioto trip tens. The turn was the {6-Diamonds}, and West needed help.

The river was the {2-Spades}, and West is out in eighth.

Careful, Careful . . .

A four-way limped pot with Ted Forrest (hijack), Dario Alioto (cutoff), Daniel Makowsky (small blind), and Kyle Kloeckner (big blind).

The flop came {3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, and it checked to Forrest who bet 86,000. Only Alioto called.

The turn was the {5-Spades} and both players checked.

The river was the {7-Hearts}. Forrest checked, and Alioto sat motionless for about 30 seconds before checking as well.

Forrest showed {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{A-Spades} for tens and sevens, and Alioto mucked.
