Flack Now Has Almost Two-Thirds of the Chips in Play

Flack raised to just 100,000 from the button, Makowsky folded from the small blind, and Fernandez called.

The flop came {5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Fernandez checked, and Flack did what Flack has often done lately when you check to him -- he bet the pot (225,000).

Fernandez grabbed his water bottle and took a swig, then hunched forward to consider his options. Finally after a minute or so, he folded.

Flack is up to almost 3.2 million, to 1.1 million for Fernandez and 730,000 for Makowsky.

Hammerin' Away

Layne Flack completed from the small blind, Daniel Makowsky raised to 175,000 from the big blind, and Flack called. The flop came {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Flack bet 300,000, and Makowsky folded.

Getting Hard to Breathe in Here

If your name isn't Layne Flack, that is.

Daniel Makowsky raised to 175,000, and Flack called. The flop came {3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Flack checked, and Makowsky bet the pot -- 375,000.

Flack stood up and rubbed his chin. After a couple of minutes, he rechecked his cards, then let it go.

Dario Alioto Eliminated in 4th Place ($180,534)

Flack again raised to 175,000 from the cutoff/under the gun. Dario Alioto called from the button, and the blinds got out. The flop came {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. Flack checked, Alioto bet pot, Flack came back over the top, and Alioto called.

Flack: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Alioto: {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

Flack was ahead, but Alioto had a ton of outs.

The turn was the {J-Spades}, and Flack's aces were still good.

The river was the {Q-Hearts}, and Alioto is out in fourth. Flack is now up over three million.

Forehead Tells

No Tell There!
No Tell There!
Layne Flack has been wearing his orange-tinted sunglasses throughout this final table. The only thing is, they've been continuously balanced over his forehead rather than his eyes. Good job really, as I've always thought it's his forehead that gives him away!

The Last Two Hands

Just a couple of limped heads-up pots. Fernandez took a small one from Flack. Then Alioto took another small one from Flack.

Short break here as the ESPN360 folks get their system back up again.

Check-Check-Check-Check

A four-way limped pot. The flop came {6-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts}, and all checked. The turn was the {6-Diamonds}. All four checked again.

The river was the {9-Hearts}. Check-check-check-check.

Jacobo Fernandez showed a nine-high straight to take the pot.
