Great Gains for Griffin

Gavin Griffin
Gavin Griffin
After three players, including Gavin Griffin, had limped, Josh Arieh raised pot from the button. One of the limpers reraised pot, then Griffin bumped it up to 24,000. Arieh called, and the early-position player also put in his last 15,000.

Griffin went ahead and announced he was betting pot blind before the flop of {3-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{6-Clubs} appeared. "Did that help you?" he asked Arieh. Arieh rechecked his cards. "Yeah," he said uncertainly, then called with his remaining chips. "I've got a wrap," he added, showing his cards.

Griffin: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Arieh: {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

The turn was the {J-Hearts} and the river the {8-Clubs}, and both Arieh and the third player busted. Griffin is now up to 144,000 -- the biggest stack we've seen thus far.
