Thomson Eliminated

The day is over for Craig "Red' Thomson. He was all in on fifth with split kings against Danny Kalpakis and his buried nines. Kalpakis made two pair on the river to snatch the pot away from Thomson and send him to the rail, where he will collect $2,340.

Kalpakis is cruising with 57,000 chips.

Hennigan Needs to Win -- Again

John Hennigan has been crushed by Bryan Devonshire in a pot where Hennigan's kings were beaten by Devonshire's two pair. Hennigan is down to 1,500 in chips and in need of some pots, quickly.

Devonshire has 50,000.

Johnny "World" Eliminated

Chip Jett has notched another kill. The victim this time is John "World" Hennigan. Hennigan completed with the {K-Clubs}

and was called by Jett with the {Q-Diamonds}

. On fourth street, Hennigan bet again after he caught the {J-Diamonds}

. Jett raised with the {7-Diamonds}

, and Hennigan raised all in. Jett made the call and showed {Q-Spades}

in the hole for two pair, queens and sevens. That was far ahead of the king-high of Hennigan after he showed {10-Clubs}

. Hennigan couldn't make anything better than a pair of tens and has been eliminated.

Tryba Doubles Up Barbieri

Al Barbieri had just lost a big pot. We caught up with him on sixth street in a hand against Chris Tryba. Barbieri raised all in with a board of x-x / {10-Spades}

; Tryba called with a board of x-x / {J-Clubs}

. When the hole cards were revealed, Barbieri tabled {10-Clubs}

for two pair, tens and eights; Tryba showed {A-Diamonds}

for just a pair of jacks. Both players missed the river.

"I didn't think you had tens," said Tryba. "I thought you were steaming."

After the hand, Tryba fell to 53,000. Barbieri is back to 24,000 again.

Freddie Jones ran into some terrible luck when Ed Fernandez hit a one-outer and made a full house to eliminate Jones.

Fernandez has 36,000.

Mike Nelson was also knocked out by Daniel Studer after Nelson's pair of fours was crushed by Studer's jacks.

Studer has 30,000.
