Hansen Returns to Wrong Table

Gus Hansen has arrived back from the break and assumed his position in seat four on table 18. After a moment or two and a few strange looks from the table, Hansen suddenly realized he had sat down at the wrong table, and was meant to be in seat four on the adjacent table 24! Oops! He quickly apologized and ran over to his correct seat!

Richard Ashby Takes a Huge Hit

A pot between Johnny Chan and Richard Ashby was capped on the flop. On the turn, with a board of {Q-Spades} {J-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} Ashby bet out and Chan raised. Ashby made the call. The river was the {9-Diamonds}. Ashby checked and Chan bet out. Ashby made the call. Chan showed {J-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {4-Spades} for jacks full and Ashby mucked.

After the hand, Chan has 26,000 and Ashby is down to 2,300.

Duke Registers

Annie Duke has registered for today's event eventhough she is currently still involved in the final table of the $5,000 Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo World Championship.

Her stack is currently being blinded off as it sits directly next to her brother Howard Lederer.

Hellmuth Gets a Massage

Phil Hellmuth is at present receiving a massage. He isn't receiving a normal massage however. He is in fact, having his butt massaged. Hellmuth must be settling down for a long night of playing.

I'm sure Hellmuth will be the "butt" of many jokes to come.

Croc Caught in the Middle

On a flop of {K-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs} Billy "The Croc" Argyros bet out and both Sirous Jamshidi and Todd Brunson made the call.

The turn brought the {7-Spades} and all players checked.

The river handed the {9-Hearts} and Jamshidi checked to Brunson who bet out, Argyros raised. Jamshidi made the call as did Brunson.

Argyros showed a set of fours for the high, however Jamshidi flipped over a set of nines for the best high hand, as Brunson took the low with his A-2.

Tony G Catches Up With Old Friends

Tony G has just been relocated to a vacant seat out on table 28 and finds himself sitting with fellow Australians and T6 Poker pros Billy "The Croc" Argyros and Jason Gray. This is another tough table as it also contains Michael Mizrachi and Steve Zolotow.

Slow Going

As is the case in many limit tournaments, the action has been pretty slow going to this point. The stacks are still deep and the blinds are relatively small, so there have been few big clashes to report. Of course, this being a hi-lo game, there are also many split pots which result in the players simply getting a refund of their bets!

The field is very pro-heavy so we expect some interesting clashes as the evening progresses.
