Schleger Finds Queens... Twice

A monstrous encounter between Roy Winston and Shane Schleger, spanning two hands -- during hand-for-hand play, that's an epic.

Hand 1:

Winston raised to 4,000 and Schleger made it 12,000. Winston eventually folded, claiming queens -- and was vindicated when Schleger showed aces.

Hand 2:

Winston raised to 4,200 and again Schleger reraised to 13,200 behind. This time Winston re-potted, and Schleger called all in.

Winston: {K-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds}
Schleger: {Q-Clubs} {Q-?}

Board: {2-Spades} {6-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {5-Clubs}

Winston down to 19,000 Schleger up to 85,000.

Bubble Bursts; Peter Tran Eliminated

Peter Tran
Peter Tran
It took a while, but the ripple of applause across the card room signifies the bursting of the bubble, Peter Tran being the unfortunate victim as we finally wrap up for the night.

His assassin was Derek Dempsey, who found {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} in the big blind as Tran pushed from the small. With Dempsey making the inevtiable call, Tran showed {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} which failed to improve on the ensuing {J-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs} board.

64 players will be returning tomorrow at 2pm, each one guaranteed a minimum $3,744 payday.
