Russell Spaid Doubles Up

Russell Spaid raised to 40,000 from under the gun. Action folded around to Edward Salazar in the big blind and he reraised to 80,000. Spaid pushed all in for 217,000 total and Salazar made the call. The players showed:

Spaid: {K-Spades} {K-Clubs}
Salazar: {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}

The board helped neither player and Spaid doubled to about 440,000 chips. Salazar was left with just under 200,000.

Mario Coria Eliminated

Giovanni Nervo raised to 27,000, Mario Coria moved all in for 101,000 and Nervo called.

Coria: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}

Nervo: {7-Spades} {7-Hearts}

The board ran out {J-Hearts} {9-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} and Nervo's sevens held up to eliminate Coria.

David Moore Eliminated

David Moore was just eliminated when his {A-Spades} {J-Diamonds} couldn't best the {A-Clubs} {8-Hearts} of Jeff Cohen.

The chips went in preflop and the board ran out {7-Spades} {6-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} to give Cohen the straight and eliminate Moore. Cohen now commands a stack of about 180,000.

Norman Contreras Eliminated

Action folded around to Norman Contreras in the small blind and he moved all in for about 250,000. Dan Lu, who had Contreras covered by just 1,000 chips, called instantly from the big blind and the players showed:

Contreras: {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Lu: {7-Hearts} {7-Diamonds}

Board: {A-Hearts} {3-Spades} {2-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {3-Diamonds}

Despite flopping a gutshot wheel draw, Contreras came up short in the hand and was eliminated. Lu doubled up to 563,000 on the hand.
