Not So Easy Now

Limit Hold'em:

Nick Binger may be a mere mortal after all. He has just lost two pots in a row to Frank Gary.

In the first, Binger raised first in from the button and Gary called. The flop came {J-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {8-Diamonds}. Gary check-raised a bet from Binger, and both players put two bets in. On fourth street, the {3-Diamonds} peeled off. Gary bet out. Binger shook his head and shotan eye over at his opponent. After a minute or so, Binger slammed his chips and slid his cards into the muck.

On the next hand, Binger again opened with a raise, this time from one seat over in the cutoff. Once more, Gary was the only caller. The flop came {5-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {6-Spades}. Gary check-called a bet from Binger. The turn came the {A-Diamonds}, and both players checked. The river brought the {A-Clubs}. Gary checked, Binger bet, and Gary called. Binger tabled {K-?} {6-?}, and was bested by the {7-?} {7-?} of Gary.

Nick Binger shipped two pots in a row to Gary, and has been knocked down under the 1,000,000-chip mark. Frank Gary, meanwhile, has chipped up to 411,000.

Binger Gets Some Back

Limit Hold'em:

Nick Binger has the button in Seat 4. He comes in raising, and Jonathan Tamayo three bets it from the small blind. Binger calls.

The flop comes {Q-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {K-Clubs}. Tamayo bets, and Binger calls.

The turn is the {10-Clubs}, and both men check.

The last card off is the {J-Diamonds}. Tamayo checks, Binger bets, and Tamayo forecefully flings the calling chips into the pot. Binger flips over the {J-Clubs}, and he takes down the pot with a flush.

A Little More Heat on Rentes

No-Limit Hold'em:

Chris Rentes has the button in Seat 1. Action passes to him, and he opens with a raise to 27,000. Jalali folds in the small blind, and Nick Binger thinks for a minute before calling out of the big blind.

The two men see a heads-up flop come down {8-Hearts} {A-Spades} {6-Hearts}. Binger checks and Rentes bets 36,000. Binger announces, "Raise," and he bumps it up to 86,000. Rentes quickly folds, and Binger wins another pot with his aggression.

"Cocktails!"

No-Limit Hold'em:

Alex Jalali raises from the button to 23,000. Jonathan Tamayo calls from the big blind. The flop comes {Q-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} and Tamayo checks. Jalali bets 28,000 and Tamayo raises all in for 109,000 total. Jalali makes the call.

Tamayo: {A-?} {A-?}
Jalali: {Q-Hearts} {4-Diamonds}

The turn comes the {2-Spades} and the river the {7-Diamonds} to double up Tamayo to 273,000. His rail birds scream out "Cocktails!" and slaps fists with Tamayo after his win.
