Suck Out

Joe Hachem has just been eliminated in unfortunate circumstances. All the money went in on the turn with the board as {Q-Clubs} {8-Spades} {6-Spades} {7-Diamonds}.

Hachem had top set with {Q-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} to his opponent's {7-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} for a pair and a gutshot. Hachem called all in after facing a bet.

The river came {9-Clubs} to make the straight for Hachem's opponent.

Up in No Limit, Down and then Out in Limit

Kenna James has been building his stack up in the No-Limit half of the level and then losing it in the Limit half. One of those down swings in Limit was a little too low and he's busted.

The damage was done against an opponent who was holding {K-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} to James' {K-Spades} {Q-Spades}.

There was was betting and raising on every street on a {K-Hearts} {2-Spades} {7-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {4-Spades} board until James called a 350 all in bet on the river.

This left James with just 50 chips and he went out soon after.

Rousso "Runs Bad"

Limit Hold'em:

A middle-position player raised and then Vanessa Rousso reraised. Gary Benson moved all in for 925 total and both the middle-position player and Rousso called.

The flop came {K-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {7-Hearts} and the first player bet. Rousso raised all in for 600 total and her opponent called.

Middle-position Player: {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}
Rousso: {A-Hearts} {A-Spades}
Benson: {6-Clubs} {6-Diamonds}

The turn was the {8-Clubs} and the river the {6-Hearts}. Benson hit the miracle river to get back to 3,000. Rousso said, "I run so bad." as she exited the tournament area.

A River Straight Knocks Jurgens Down

Limit Hold'em:

A early-position player raised and Tad Jurgens reraised. The player then raised again and Jurgens called. The flop came {A-Spades} {J-Hearts} {10-Hearts} and Jurgens raised his opponent's bet. His opponent called.

The turn was the {8-Clubs} and Jurgens bet when checked to to get his opponent's last 175 in the middle. His opponent called and showed {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}. Jurgens held two pair with {A-Clubs} {J-Clubs} but wasn't happy to see the {K-Diamonds} hit on the river, giving his opponent a straight and knocking Jurgens down to 5,000.

A Dutch Double Down

No-Limit Hold'em:

Noah Boeken has just helped triple up player after he went all in on a {2-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} flop.

A third player was involved in the hand but Boeken forced him off the pot by moving all in on the {2-Hearts} turn.

Boeken showed {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} but was in deep trouble as his opponent had {Q-Diamonds} {2-Spades} for a full house.

The river came {J-Clubs} and Boeken down to 5,800.

Sowers Cripples Micon

Limit Hold'em:

Mike Sowers raised from middle position and Brian Micon made the call from the big blind. The two young players saw the flop come {Q-Spades} {8-Clubs} {4-Clubs}.

Micon checked, Sowers bet, Micon raised, Sowers called.

The turn was the {Q-Hearts} and Micon led out. Sowers called.

The river was the {9-Clubs} and Micon bet again. Sowers called once more. Micon rolled over {A-Spades} {8-Hearts}, but was bested by Sowers on the river as he turned up {A-Clubs} {9-Spades}.

Micon was crippled and left with only a few hundred chips and busted the next hand. Sowers is up to 8,400.

Redmond Over 18,000

No-Limit Hold'em:

Richard Redmond check-called a bet from an opponent on the flop of {10-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {7-Clubs}. Both players then checked the turn of {6-Clubs}. On the river, the {2-Hearts} hit and Redmond bet 1,000 and his opponent called.

Redmond turned up {J-Spades} {7-Spades} and it was good enough to take the pot. His is now up to 18,400.

Eugene Todd Eliminated

No-Limit Hold'em:

Michael Craig raised to 300 to begin the action. Eugene Todd reraised to 1,100 and then another player moved all in. Craig folded and Todd made the call, putting himself all in.

Todd: {8-Spades} {8-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}

The flop came {K-Spades} {10-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} and gave Todd's opponent the lead in the hand. The turn came the {5-Diamonds} and the river the {3-Clubs}, to eliminate Todd from today's tournament.
