Dan Pautler Out Early

Limit Hold'em:

Dan Pautler had a little under 7,000 chips and found them all in the middle against Ito Kengo early on in day two. Pautler's {A-?} {J-?} was second best to Kengo's {K-?} {Q-?} after the flop hit Kengo with another king. It held up and Pautler has been sent to the rail.

Good or Bad Draw for Our Chip Leader?

Jonathan Tamayo was our chip leader going into today, but things may not be as easy as they were last night. Tamayo is seated with David Levi, Alex Bolotin, Lou Esposito, Bob Lauria, and also Nam Le. The chip lead should provide a good cushion and allow Tamayo some extra maneuverability at this tough table.

Nam Le Doubles Up

Limit Hold'em:

Nam Le and Otto Richard capped the action preflop leaving Le with only 125 left. He bet his last few chips dark.

The flop came {J-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} and Richard made the call. Richard turned up {A-Spades} {Q-Spades}, but Le flopped top pair with {A-Hearts} {J-Hearts}.

The turn was the {2-Spades} and the river another jack, the {J-Diamonds}, to allow Le to double up to about 12,000.

Nick Binger Outkicks His Opponent

Limit Hold'em:

The board read {J-?} {8-?} {8-?} {2-?} on the turn between Nick Binger and Nick Goodall. Binger bet and Goodall called.

The river was a {6-?} and Binger bet again. Goodall again made the call. Binger rolled over {A-?} {J-?} for top pair, ace kicker. Goodall flashed {K-?} {J-?} for the second best kicker and sent the chips to Binger.

Binger is up to 31,000 and Goodall down to 10,000.

He's Outta Here

Limit Hold'em

Jose Tavares raised from under the gun before Steve Fiorentini reraised. Taveres raised again and Fiorentini called all in.

Tavares flipped over {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades}.
Fiorentini tabled {10-Spades} {J-Spades}.

The flop came {7-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}.

The paired ace was good enough to knock out Fiorentini early on here at the Rio.

Taveres on 56,000 chips now.

Rivered Set Moves Slotboom Up

Limit Hold'em:

Rolf Slotboom and Jeremy Thomas were involved in a pot in which Thomas was all in for his last 5,000 chips. He knew he needed to make a move and found a good hand to do so with, pocket queens. Slotboom held pocket threes.

The flop looked good for Thomas, {10-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {5-Hearts}. The turn was clean as well, {K-Spades}. But then, the river came the {3-Spades} and sent Thomas to the rail.

Slotboom is up to 16,000.
