Don't Leave Your Seat

The tournament director just informed all the players that if they leave their seat during hand-for-hand to go and watch another table, that player will be penalized.

"Royal Flush Check Behind"

if you've been following the entire WSOP on PokerNews, you'll remember the hand in an earlier event when Jan von Halle checked behind on the river with a royal flush. Well, it seems von Halle has no shame in his mistake, as he is sporting a shirt that says, "Royal Flush Check Behind" in big letters on the front.

Todd Witteles Stayin' Alive

Limit Hold'em:

The poker gods are looking out for Todd Witteles on this day. He has been all in on two occasions on the bubble so far. The first time, the board made a straight to allow him and his opponent to chop the pot.

On the second hand, the board made a flush and Witteles again chopped with his opponent to stay alive.

On both hands, Witteles got in in with the best, but he is extremely short-stacked. The first hand he held {A-?} {K-?} against {Q-?} {J-?}. The second hand he held {9-?} {9-?} against {J-?} {7-?}. The poker gods may not be giving Todd the win, but at least they aren't busting him.

Dangerous But Worth It

Limit Hold'em

Richard Redmond is up to 45,000 courtesy of slow-playing pocket aces. He completed when it was folded around to him in the small blind. The big blind did him the favour of raising before they saw a flop.

It contained an ace and two spades so Redmond check-raised his opponent. This pattern continued to the river where a second ten hit the board making a full house for Redmond. Again he manged to get a raise called before revealing his full house. His disgusted opponent threw his hand into the muck

Bubble Insurance

Robert Mizrachi is not playing in our tournament, but that's not stopping him from getting involved in the action. Mizrachi is playing the 2-7 Triple Draw event at an adjacent table, and he wants in on the bubble play. He is offering any and all players "Bubble Insurance" for $650 apiece. He says if he can sell 20 of them, he'll break even for the past few days. We'll have to see if any of the short stacks decide to take him up on the offer.

We Have a Bubble Boy

Bob Lauria was sitting under the gun with just 600 chips left. He looked down at {J-Hearts} {9-Hearts} and stuck it in. Nam Le raised in middle position and isolated Lauria, who was at risk. Le tabled {A-Hearts} {Q-Spades}.

The board frowned on Lauria, coming out {A-Spades} {2-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {K-Hearts}. Bob Lauria took one for the team, much to the delight of his fellow players, and headed out of the room on the bubble. The remaining 72 players are now in the money.

Andy Adolfsson Eliminated

No-Limit Hold'em:

Andy Adolfsson was all in preflop against Peter Rho. Rho held {A-Hearts} {K-Spades} and Adolfsson held {A-Diamonds} {3-Spades} and was the short stack with his tournament life on the line.

The flop came {K-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {3-Hearts}, pairing both players. The turn came the {K-Clubs} and the river the {8-Hearts} to end Adolfsson's tournament run.

Rho is up to 93,000.
