Today's event will be kicked off with a Elvis impersonator known as "Elvis Senior" doing a rendition of "Johnny B. Goode." Considering that if the real Elvis were alive, he would be 73 years old, this was a very fitting opening.

Early Preflop Aggression

The first few pots have gone the way of Dan Lacourse, Charles Wood and Marty Wilson after their preflop raises were not met with any opposition and they collected the blinds an antes.

With only four minutes left in level 21, the blinds and antes are now up to 15,000/30,000 with a 4,000 chip ante.

Our First Flop!

The button was with Jerry Yamachika in Seat 9. Dale Eberle raised and made it 90,000 to go. Marc Fluss then reraises the minimum to 180,000.
On a flop of {6-Diamonds}

, Fluss checked and Eberle bet out 200,000. Fluss folded before Eberle could even get the chips out.

Eberle took down a 617,000 chip pot.

Clark Collecting Chips

The button is with Marc Fluss in Seat 1. Dale Eberle raised the action from early position to 75,000 and the action folded to Ed Clark who made the call from the big blind.

They took a flop of {2-Hearts}

and Ed Clark instantly moved all in for 404,000. Eberle folded and Clark takes down the pot to move to 605,000.

Marty Wilson Eliminated in 9th Place ($34,312)

The button was with Ed Clark in Seat 3. Fred Berger raised to 90,000 and it was folded around to Marty Wilson who moved all in for 439,000 total. Berger then went into the tank. A call would involve most of his chips. He sat for about five minutes cutting chips and thinking about the call. Finally he made the call.

Wilson: {8-Hearts}

Berger:

A classic race situation was presenting itself. The flop crushed Wilson when the {Q-Hearts}

hit the flop. Only one of the remaining eights would win the hand for Wilson. No help came for Wilson as the turn fell the {J-Hearts}

and the river came the {7-Spades}

Lacourse Does It With Reraise

The button is with Dale Eberle in Seat 6. The action folded around to Fred Berger in the small blind who announced a raise to 90,000 total. Dan Lacourse then declared a reraise to 300,000 in total. Berger thought for a moment before laying down his hand to give the pot to Lacourse.
