Eberle Flushes Berger

The action folded to Dale Eberle who opened with a raise to 90,000 from the hijack position. Fred Berger flat called on the button and the blinds stepped aside.

They saw a flop of {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Eberle led out with a bet of 200,000. Berger went into the tank for several minutes before deciding to make the call.

The turn brought the {10-Hearts} and both players made a quick check.

The river landed the {6-Clubs} and Eberle fired out a bet of 300,000. Berger made the call as Eberle flipped over {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} for the nut flush which was good to take down the pot. Eberle now has a healthy chip lead with over 2 million in chips.

Wood Takes Back to Back Pots

Preflop, Jerry Yamachika raised from the button to 80 and Charles Wood made the call. As the flop was turned over, the first card showed was the {K-Hearts} , and before the flop could be spread, Wood was all in. The flop was {K-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {7-Hearts}. Yamachika folded.

The next hand, Dale Eberle raised to 90k and Wood made the call. Before the flop, Wood said that he was playing his favorite hand. On a flop of {9-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {9-Clubs} , Eberle bet out 150,000 and Wood called. On the turn of the {2-Hearts}, action was checked around. On the river card of the {8-Clubs} , Wood moved all in and Eberle folded.

Woods is up to around 700,000 chips.

Fred Berger Eliminated...Almost!

Fred Berger moved all in from under-the-gun for 240,000 and the action folded to Dale Eberle in the big blind who made the call.

Berger: {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Eberle: {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and there is some confusion as the players shake hands after it is announced the Eberle has won the pot and Berger is eliminated. However after the board is rechecked it becomes clear that the pot should be chopped as the kickers of each player do not play. Berger stays alive!

Eddie Villareal Says Goodbye

Eddie Villareal has just popped into the feature table area to wish the final table good luck. Eddie finished 13th in this event and entertained everyone with his colorful antics and singing at the table as the clock ticked past 4 a.m last night. From the balcony of the Milwaukee's Best Light Bar he sung everyone a brief song as the lovable character said he had to "fly off to LA!" So long Eddie!

Peter Silverstein Eliminated in 7th Place ($64,588)

Peter Silverstein - 7th Place
Peter Silverstein - 7th Place
Peter Silverstein was all in for less than the big blind. Fred Berger limped in for 40,000. Dan Lacourse raised to 160,000 and it was folded around back to Berger who folded.

Silverstein: {2-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds}
Lacourse: {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts}

A collective "oooh" came out from the crowd when the flop hit {6-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {10-Hearts}. Lacourse picked up flush draw and a straight draw on the turn when the {K-Hearts} hit. Unfortunately for Silverstein, the {J-Spades} hit the river and Silverstein becomes our 7th place finisher. He will take home $64,588 for his efforts.

Fred Berger Doubles

Fred Berger opened with a raise from the cutoff to 150,000 and Marc Fluss made the call in the big blind.

They took a flop of {10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Fluss asked for a count before betting enough to put Berger all in. Berger made the call and tabled {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for top pair-top kicker and the lead as Fluss shows {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} for no pair, no draw.

The turn bricked the {4-Hearts} and a repeat {10-Spades} on the river gave Berger a valuable double up as he goes from almost being out the door, to being right back in contention!

Agression Becoming the Name of the Game

The last three pots have been taken down by sheer agression. First on a flop of {Q-Spades} {7-Spades} {K-Hearts} , Fred Berger bet out 65,000 and then Jerry Yamachika came over the top for 325,000 more. Berger was forced to fold his hand.

Next, Dale Eberle was on the button and raised 90,000. Fred Berger then came over the top for 250,000 and Eberle folded.

It was Charles Wood's turn the next hand when he raised 150,000 preflop and took the pot down.

Looks like things are beginning to heat up a bit.

Fluss Recovers With Big Slick

Dale Eberle raised it up from middle position to 90,000 and the action passed around to Marc Fluss in the big blind who announces he was all in. Eberle folded and Fluss flashed {A-?}{K-?} as he battles his way back from the short stack!
