Yesterday we reported on a proprosed prop bet between Amarillo Slim and one of our field reporters, Neil Fray. You can read more about it here. Slim challenged Neil to a basketball free-throw shooting contest.
When Neil recently passed by Slim's table, he looked up and said to Neil, "So, have you been practicing your free throws?"
Eddie Villareal has been crippled in very cruel fashion. All the money was in on a flop of with Villareal looking in great shape to eliminate Stephen Carpenter.
Villareal held for a set of sevens to hold the lead over Carpenter's . However, remarkably the board brought a on the turn and another on the river to give Carpenter jacks full of kings, and the best hand against Villareal's jacks full of sevens.
After the hand Villareal is left with 10,000 while Carpenter survives to jump to 60,000.
The reason for the break was the excessive line at the cash out table. After the bubble burst people were falling fast and the line was getting out of control, so the Harrah's staff ordered a 10 minute break so the line could dissipate.
Mike Comer raised to 9,000 from the small blind before Edmond Schwartz re-raised to 18,000 from the big blind. Comer moved all in for an additional 14,000 and Schwartz made the call.

The board ran out and after some confusion from Comer who thought he won the pot with his set, the pot was pushed to Schwartz for his straight to send Comer to the growing payout line.
