Alston Reads it Right

Gregory Alston has made the laydown of the tournament. He got involved with Charles Wood when the flop came {7-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}. Alston check-called a bet of 40,000 from Wood.

The turn brought the {A-Spades} and Alston check-raised Wood making it 140,000 to see the river. Wood made the call and the river showed the {K-Spades}. Alston checked and Wood moved all in, putting Alston to a decision for all of his chips.

Alston double-checked his hand, {J-Hearts} {10-Spades}, and revealed that he was throwing away the ace-high straight. Wood turned over {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} and applauded the laydown of Alston.

Wood has 490,000.
Alston has 175,000.

Eberle Eliminates Bass

The giant killing run of Dale Eberle continues as he has just eliminated another opponent.

This time it was Larry Bass who moved all in for his last 120,000 chips with {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Eberle made the call with {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}.

The board arrived {5-Hearts}{K-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{A-Clubs} to send Bass to the rail as Eberle surges past 1.3 million in chips!

Hero to Zero

In an amazing hand, our two tournament chip leaders have just collided to leave one with a monsterous chip lead and the other going home early.

Dale Eberle raised under the gun to 30,000 before Steve Fager reraised to 75,000 from on the button. Eberle made the call.

The flop came {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Eberle checked. Fager then moved all in and Eberle snap-called, tabling {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} for quads! Fager was disgusted as he revealed {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}.

The turn and river landed {J-Hearts}, {A-Diamonds}, and Fager is eliminated in sensational fashion as Dale Eberle surges to over 1.1 million in chips and a commanding lead over the field!

Marsha, Marsha, Marsha

Marsha Waggoner
Our last female entrant, Marsha Waggoner, has just been eliminated by Charles Wood.

Waggoner moved all in preflop with {Q-Spades} {7-Spades} against Wood's {A-Clubs} {9-Clubs} and held her breath. The board came {A-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {K-Spades} {10-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} and Waggoner gracefully left the room.

Wood is up to 290,000.

Fager Flushes Henry

Steve Fager opened with a raise preflop to 26,000 and Greg Henry made the call.

They took a flop of {7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and both players checked.

The turn was the {K-Clubs} and Fager bet out for 50,000 before Henry moved all in. Fager made the call, tabling {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for the nut flush draw against the {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} of Henry.

The river brought the {K-Diamonds} to give Henry trips but it gave Fager the nut flush as he doubles through one of the chip leaders to jump to 470,000 while Henry is crippled.
