Dennis Richardson Eliminated

With about 15,000 in the middle preflop, Dennis Richardson fired out 12,000 on a flop of {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} before Greg Alston check-raised all in. Richardson went into the tank with a decision for his tournament life. He agonized for several minutes before making the call.

It proved to be the right call as he tabled {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} for the lead against Alston's {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds} but the river was a repeat {7-Spades} to give Alston trip sevens and eliminate Richardson from the tournament.

Waite is Over

Harold Waite, born 1917, the oldest entrant in this event, has been eliminated. 91 years young and still cashing in the WSOP...

Way to go Harold!

The Master Suspicious

Men "The Master" Nguyen raised from late position to 7,000 before Wayne Stanford moved all in. Tim Sciscoe flat called from the button and the action folded to Nguyen.

Nguyen questioned Sciscoe as to why he would just flat call there, and suspecting something strange he folded K-Q face up.

Stanford showed {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} but Sciscoe held {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}!

The board ran out {2-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Stanford is eliminated as Sciscoe moves to 79,000 chips.

Ron McMillan Eliminated

Ron McMillan had all the chips in the middle on a flop of {Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs} against Daniel Lacourse. McMillan held {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} for top pair but Lacourse had outs with his {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a flush draw.

The turn gave McMillan two pair with the {K-Hearts} but the {4-Clubs} completed the flush for Lacourse to leave McMillan crippled.

Soon after he was all in with his short stack holding pocket tens against the {J-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} of Tom McEvoy. The board ran out {5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} and the ace on the river sends McMillan to the rail.

Seniors Table Talk

Buddy Kemner: "Is there a twenty minute break after this level?"

David Hahn: "Yeah."

Kemner: "Good, the ten minute break wasn't enough! I couldn't use the bathroom!"

Hahn: "You could have used the sink like me!"

Bobby Sanders Eliminated

Tim Sciscoe raised it up from early position to 8,000 before Bobby Sanders moved all in for around 27,000. Sciscoe made the call with {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} to be in great shape against the dominated {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} of Sanders.

The board arrived {K-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs} and Sciscoe claims another as Sanders heads for the payout table.
