Liebert Sets a Trap

Kathy Liebert played her opponent perfectly when the the board read {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {3-Spades} and she made a small bet of 600 into a pot of over 1,000. Her opponent felt weakness and pushed all in for 2,600. Liebert made the called and turned over {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts} for top two. Her opponent tabled {J-Spades} {10-Diamonds}. The board blanked out and Liebert raked the pot.

Liebert has 17,000.

Esfandiari Disappears

After playing three hands in a row, Antionio Esfandiari was eliminated when his pocket queens lost to his opponent's ace-queen off suit. An ace popped in the window and Esfandiari was sent to the rail.

Hopefully he goes and rests up for the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event at 5pm.

The Chronicles of Rosen

We have a new chip leader, it appears. Jamie "The Chronic" Rosen raised from middle position, making it 500 to go. The cutoff and small blind players both called. The flop came down {10-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}. It checked to Rosen, and he bet out 1,050. The cutoff player moved all in for 3,650. In between, the small blind made the call, and it came back to Rosen, who re-raised all in himself, having the table covered. The small blind called once again, putting himself at risk, and the cards were turned over:

Small blind: {2-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}
Rosen: {K-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds}
Cutoff: {Q-Hearts} {10-Hearts}

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and the river brought a third diamond to give two players a flush. Rosen's was the better one, however, and he knocks off two players and vaults himself to the chip lead with 57,000.

Liebert at it Again

Kathy Liebert seem to be doing the dirty work as she knocked out another opponent. She flopped a set of tens and let her opponent bet his top pair until he had to push. She called and won; he left the room.

Liebert is up to 20,000.

Lawson Busted

Ted Lawson has been eliminated after pushing all in from middle position with {K-Clubs} {6-Clubs}. He was called by the button with {Q-?} {Q-?} and the board ran out {9-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} giving Lawson hope. The river, however, shattered that hope when the {4-Hearts} hit the board and the queens held up.

Doubling E-Fro

Eric Froehlich has just doubled with a timely coin-flip victory. He held {A-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} and was all in preflop versus {J-Clubs} {J-Diamonds}.

E-Fro hit his outs hard as the board ran out {Q-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}. He makes the winning queens full of aces, and doubles up to 13,000.

Phan

John Phan is down to 27,000 after suffering a small set back.

Phan made it 550 to go and he and his opponent saw the flop bring the {7-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}. Phan bet 5,900 and his opponent called again. The turn was the {3-Clubs} and both players checked. Lastly the river dropped the {K-Hearts} and this time Phan's opponent lead out for 2,200. Phan made the call but mucked his hand when his opponent table {10-Spades} {7-Spades} .

Seif Buys a Yacht

Mark Seif has just knocked off Alex Jacob, and again we get the details of the action from Seif himself.

From what he tells us, he and Jacob were heads up to a flop of {10-?} {J-?} {2-?} with two spades, and both players checked it.

The turn was the {J-Spades} . Seif checked, and Jacob put out a moderate-sized bet. Seif made the call.

The river was the {K-Spades}, putting four spades on board. Mark Seif led out for 3,500, and Jacob raised all in for about 20,000 total. Seif made the quick call.

Jacob showed down {10-?} {10-?}, having flopped a set and turned a full house. That was no good though. Seif showed {K-?} {J-?}, and his bigger boat wins all of Jacob's money and sends him off to the exit. Mark Seif is now right near the top of our leader board with 57,000 chips.
