A Big Pot for Scotty Nguyen

Stud:

Scotty Nguyen made a seven-high straight to beat David Bach's trip tens and took down a huge pot. Scotty raised Bach on the final two streets and David called both times, and Nguyen is now up to 1.850 million while Bach slipped to 850,000.

Reversal of Fortune

Stud-8:

Barry Greenstein won back some of the chips he lost a few hands ago to Patrick Bueno. Both players checked on sixth street with Greenstein showing {5-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {K-Hearts} to Bueno's {J-Clubs} {7-Spades} {10-Spades} {8-Diamonds}, but when the last cards were dealt Barry came out betting and Bueno called. Greenstein showed {4-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {4-Spades} for the flush and Bueno mucked his cards. Barry is back up to 825,000 and Bueno is down to 775,000.

Raymond Davis Crippled, Erick Lindgren Takes Commanding Chip Lead

Omaha-8:

Erick Lindgren led at Raymond Davis the whole way and was called down, the final board reading {Q-?} {8-?} {5-?} {8-?} {5-?}. Davis showed {A-?} {2-?} {4-?} {Q-?} for two pair, but Lindgren had caught trip fives on the river, holding {A-?} {5-?}-X-X in the hole. The hand took Lindgren up to 3,375,000 while Davis fell to 375,000.

On a subsequent hand, Davis opened for a raise from the cutoff, Michael DeMichele three-bet from the button and Davis called. The flop was {Q-Hearts} {J-Spades} {9-Diamonds}. Davis checked, DeMichele bet and Davis called. The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and both players checked. The river was the {10-Hearts} and Davis check-called another bet from DeMichele.

Omaha-8:

Michael DeMichele raised before the flop and Raymond Davis called. The flop came {J-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} and Davis committed the last of his chips. He held {Q-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {5-Spades} to DeMichele's {A-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {K-Spades} {6-Spades} and when the {2-Clubs} came on the turn and the {3-Spades} on the river DeMichele's aces took the high and Davis' 7-6-5-3-2 the low, and he survived to fight another day.

Raymond Davis Doubles Up

Razz:

Raymond Davis more than doubled up actually. Ralph Perry folded after fourth street but Davis was in for the last of his chips against Michael DeMichele. Holding {3-?} {10-?} {4-?} {2-?} {4-?} {K-?} to DeMichele's {8-?} {3-?} {4-?} {2-?} {4-?} {Q-?} Davis needed some help when Michael caught a {10-?} on the river to make a ten-low. But Davis hit a {6-?} to make a better ten-low and built his stack back up to 375,000.
