Daniel Negreanu Takes a Big Hit

Daniel Negreanu might not be able to enjoy the dinner hour after losing a big pot to Michael DeMichele right before the break. Negreanu was betting on every street and when DeMichele called on the river Negreanu said, "I have two pair and a really bad low".
"Really," DeMichele said, "I might scoop here." And he showed two pair (queens and jacks) and a 7-6 low to indeed scoop the pot. "Wow, and I bet that on the river," Negreanu said just before he left on break. When he returns, he'll find just 300,000 chips waiting for him.
