D'Alessandro Hits a Sweeper

Tim D'Alessandro just took a big pot off of Joshua Feldman and Jonas Klausen. By the time D'Alessandro was all in, he held an unbeatable eight-high straight and a 7-6 low. He improved to a six low on the river against his lone remaining opponent, Jonas Klausen, who showed 8-4 for low. D'Alessandro scooped the whole pot and doubled up.

Joshua Feldman Eliminated in 7th ($23,019)

Joshua Feldman and Jonas Klausen cap it on third street, with Feldman showing {J-Clubs} and Klausen showing {A-Diamonds}.

On fourth street, Klausen bets {4-Spades} and Feldman raises {9-Spades}. Klausen reraises and Feldman calls all in.

Klausen: ({A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}){A-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Feldman: ({J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}){J-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{A-Spades}

Feldman is out. Klausen is up to 500,000 and retakes the chip lead.

When Titans Clash

In a battle of the big stacks, Jonas Klausen raises with {A-Clubs} on third street and Ryan Hughges reraises. Klausen calls.

On fourth, Klausen checks {8-Spades} and Hughes bets {7-Clubs}. Klausen calls.

On fifth, Klausen bets {6-Clubs} and Hughes calls {4-Hearts}.

On sixth, Klausen bets {6-Spades} and Hughes calls {K-Diamonds}.

On seventh, Klausen checks and Hughes bets. Klausen calls.

Hughes shows {Q-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Klausen mucks.

Klausen is down to 373,000 and Hughes is up to 540,000 -- and retakes the lead.

Dueling Flushes

There was a strange play from Ron Long in a recent hand. After Ryan Hughes brought it in with the {3-Spades}, Long just called with the {Q-Spades}. Alessio Isaia completed the {A-Hearts}, Hughes called, and then Long raised. Pretty much everyone in a three-county radius thought that Long was rolled up. The three players went to sixth street, where Isaia dropped out. On the river, the boards were:

Hughes: x-x / {3-Spades} {5-Hearts} {10-Spades} {7-Spades}
Long: x-x / {Q-Spades} {8-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {6-Hearts}

Long checked with the better board, then called a bet from Hughes. Hughes opened {8-Spades} {4-Spades} {4-Hearts} in the hole for an 8-7 low and an eight-high flush. Long opened {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {3-Hearts} in the hole for a queen-high flush. They chopped the pot.

Tim D'Alessandro Eliminated in 6th ($30,444)

On third street, Thomas Hunt III raises with {A-Clubs} and Tim D'Alessandro reraises with {10-Spades}. Hunt raises again and D'Alessandro caps it. Hunt calls.

On fourth, Hunt bets {K-Diamonds} and D'Alessandro raises {7-Diamonds}. Hunt calls.

On fifth, Hunt bets {9-Hearts} and D'Alessandro calls all in with {3-Clubs}.

Hunt: ({K-Clubs}{A-Spades}){A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
D'Alessandro: ({10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}){10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{J-Spades}

When Hunt is dealt the {A-Diamonds} on sixth, he pumps his fist. "Oh yeahhh!" The full house over full house ends D'Alessandro's day. Jonas Klausen claimed he folded A-K, so there were only two outs that Hunt could have hit.
