Hughes Running Over the Table

Ryan Hughes continues to play well and to draw well. He tangled with Jonas Klausen again, and again came away with 60,000 more of Klausen's chips. Hughes brought it in with the {2-Clubs}, then raised after Klausen completed the {A-Clubs}. Klausen made the call and bet out when he picked up the {3-Diamonds} on fourth street to Hughes' {4-Clubs}. Hughes called.

On fifth street, Hughes drew the {7-Diamonds} for a nice low board and Klausen bricked with the {9-Hearts}. Klausen check-called Hughes' bet. Things got worse for Klausen on sixth street -- his {8-Spades} to Hughes' {6-Diamonds}. Klausen finally decided he had enough and check-folded.

Hughes showed {2-Hearts} {5-Clubs} underneath for a pair of deuces, a 7-6 low, and an open-ended straight draw. He now has over 900,000 in chips.

Jonas Klausen Eliminated in 5th ($39,355)

Jonas Klausen - Out in 5th
Jonas Klausen - Out in 5th
Jonas Klausen brings it in with the {3-Clubs} and Ron Long completes with {A-Clubs}.

On fourth, Long bets the {J-Clubs} and Klausen calls with {K-Clubs}.

On fifth, Long bets the {6-Clubs} and Klausen raises nearly all in with {Q-Clubs}. Long re-raises the rest of the way and Klausen calls.

Klausen: ({2-Spades}{4-Clubs}){3-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Long: ({6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}){A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{J-Spades}

Long flips over the jack on seventh for two pair and it is good enough. Klausen is eliminated.

Hughes Shows His Mortality

In our first four-handed pot that went to the river, Ryan Hughes proved that he is capable of losing a hand at this final table. Hughes drew into two pair, tens and fives, by sixth street, but Ron Long had made a better two pair, jacks and fours, by fourth street.

Hughes slips back below 900,000 in chips.

Hunt Hanging On

Thomas Hunt III is very short, with under 100,000 in chips. He has been all in on four hands in the last ten minutes, each time managing to come up with a chop for half of the pot.
