Greg Mueller had led out 17,000 to go preflop when Rasmus Nielsen made it 67,000 more. Greg went into the tank, then eventually raised to 250,000. Rasmus quickly called and showed A-K to have Greg, who held K-10, dominated. Rasmus flopped an ace and although Greg turned a king, he wasn't able to improve and was eliminated from the field.
The hand was large enough to put Rasmus over 750,000, making him our new chip leader.
Gerry Kane moved all in preflop 73,500 after Peter Chen had made it 18,000 to go. JC Tran had called the 18,000 and ultimately called the all-in as well. Chen got out of the way and Tran showed and was up against Gerry Kane's pocket tens. The tens flopped a set for Kane, who is now up to 155,000 after Tran failed to improve.
We just recently put up a post about the amount of spectators staying to watch the remaining 49 players in today's event. We'd like to address the fact that the number of spectators here has easily doubled and is currently four to five deep around the rail.
We're quite impressed by the sheer number of spectators and it's very impressive to see such a large crowd here within the Brasilia room.
