Early Exits

Though only two or three hands have been dealt per table, we've already had several eliminations. "Seat open!" has been heard throughout the Brasilia room.

Young and Restless

Young Phan has been active here at the start. Phan eliminated two players on the first two hands of today's action, and has quickly vaulted up to 182,000.

FBT Bullies

Greg "FBT" Mueller was seen using his big stack to his advantage at his table. Kevin Dwyer raised preflop to 4,500 and Greg made it 21,500 to go. Kevin folded the hand and Greg is now up to 140,000. We've noticed that thus far today, Greg has raised roughly 85% of hands dealt.

Deep Lines

We've had so many eliminations today that the payout line here in the Brasilia room is backed up ten players deep. We'll be bringing eliminations updates as soon as things settle down.

Tough River, Bro

A short-stacked Christopher Howard decided it was time to push his last 17,000 when he was dealt {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}. Eugene Todd, short-stacked himself, with {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}, decided to play.

The board came {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{K-Spades}, and that king on the end meant Howard's day was done. Todd is up to 37,000.

Pair of Threes Good?

On a flop of {10-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}, Hevad "Rain" Khan raised an opponent who had bet out 3,200. Khan's raise was for 15,000, which was enough to put his opponent all-in. His opponent called and showed 4-3 for an open-ended straight draw while Khan showed 9-7 for a gutshot. The turn brought the {3-Spades} with the {5-Clubs} on the river, giving his opponent two pair, threes and fives. Khan is down to 22,000 after the hand.

Doing the Short-Stacked Shuffle

Now that we're well in the money, the short stacks are pushing all in with regularity. We recently saw a three-way all in involving Patrick Ricci (15,900), Ross Derrod (8,000), and Greg Mueller. Mueller, with over 130,000, can afford to gamble with the shorties.

Derrod {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Ricci {A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Mueller {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

The board ran out {5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Ricci is out. Derrod won the main pot with his jacks and is up to 20,000. Mueller still has about 120,000.
