To the delight of most of the gentlemen in her section, Shannon Elizabeth has returned. Earlier she seemed to have taken a bad beat and was nowhere to be seen for the last level or so. She currently sits with 5,300 in chips.
On a board of , Shannon Elizabeth put in her last 1,000. She received one caller. Elizabeth turned over for the nut full house. Unfortunately for the guys in her section, her opponent held the only hand that could beat her when he turned over for quad fives.
As the clock ticks past 2 a.m. local time it appears some weary players are now thinking about simply surviving to come back tomorrow and fight another day. The action has slowed on most tables with only around 30 minutes of play left on the opening day of this event.
Men "The Master" Nguyen and Allen Kessler were involved in a pot to the river. Nguyen was all in on a board of and Kessler called. Kessler showed for a low and Nguyen showed for a set of eights.
Apparently the dealer misread Nguyen's hand and went to try and muck it. Nguyen gets angry and stops the dealer and says "Don't touch my cards. You try to kill my hand. I have two pair."
Nguyen's issues with dealers in today's event continues.
After being down to as low as 225 in chips at one point, and then clawing his way back up the leaderboard, Men 'The Master' Nguyen has finally been dealt his last Omaha hand for this event.
Nguyen and Allen Kessler took a flop of and Kessler let out with a bet of 500. Nguyen raised to 1,000 and Kessler raised once again to put Nguyen all in. He made the call and the cards were flipped.

The turn arrived the and river and Kessler made the wheel for the low and a six-high straight for the high hand to scoop the pot and eliminate a courageous Nguyen from the tournament.
