Christoph Niesert and Joseph Michael Eliminated by Eli Elezra

Stud-8:

In a huge hand that involved Katja Thater, Christoph Niesert, Joseph Michael, and Eli Elezra, the action was capped on third. Betting occurred on all streets, led by Niesert. Three out of the four players made it all the way to the end with Michael being all in after fifth. Thater folded on fifth after a long debate.

After the last card, Niesert checked to Elezra with Michael all in. Niesert only had about 1,600 left and Eli debated on whether to put him in. The pot stood over 100,000 at the time. Elezra finally decided to bet, and Niesert called. Eli turned over the wheel, A-2-3-4-5 and scooped the entire pot. He eliminated both Niesert and Michael on the hand.

After the hand, Niesert claimed to have pocket kings, as did Thater. Doyle Brunson chimed in and mentioned that he had a king as well and that one of the other two were lying. The table had the dealer check the deck and only four kings were found. Thater put her head down on the table in disgust, as Doyle and Eli laughed about the hand.
