Porter Continues to Crush Opponents

The chip leader, Rep Porter, continues to add to his stack. Most recently, he called a raise to 4,000 on the button. The big blind called all in behind him for less. On a flop of {A-Spades} {10-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}, the preflop raiser checked to Porter, who bet 5,000. The preflop raiser immediately folded, allowing Porter to drag the side pot and leaving him heads-up for the main pot. He opened pocket eights for a set of eights, which crushed the {A-Hearts} {7-Hearts} of the big blind. The board bricked out, and the main pot was pushed to Porter as well.

He now has over 140,000 in chips.

Mike Gorodinsky Eliminated

Mike Gorodinsky, who had been one of the big stacks for the past couple hours, has been eliminated. Gorodinsky got it all in on a {10-Spades} {9-Hearts} {5-Hearts} flop against Curt Householder. Gorodinsky had a made hand with {A-Spades} {A-Clubs} but trailed the top two pair currently held by Householder's {10-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}. Gorodinsky missed the turn and river and was eliminated. Householder is now a force with about 73,000.

Action Slows Down As We Approach the Money

With the money bubble just four eliminations away, the action has slowed considerably. Play will go hand-for-hand when the field reaches 127 players. There are currently 130 players remaining, most of which are looking for a payday, even if that means barely coasting into the money.

Cooper's Nice Pair

Caroline Cooper
Caroline Cooper
Caroline Cooper raised preflop to 4,000. Her opponent deliberated calling for about a minute but ultimately folded his own.

"What'd you have?" he asked her.

She cupped her hands over her breasts and responded, "I had a nice pair."
