Patrick Bueno Eliminated

Patrick Bueno - Eliminated
Patrick Bueno - Eliminated
On a board of {9-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {9-Hearts}, Patrick Bueno was first to act and checked. Daniel Barlin led out for 3,000 and was called by a third player. Bueno pushed all in for 6,500 total and Barlin made the call. The third player passed and the men tabled:

Barlin: {2-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}
Bueno: {J-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}

The river fell the {8-Spades} and Bueno was no mas. He headed for the rail while Barlin chipped up to just under 55,000.

Great Call by Eckstut

The flop was {10-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} when Rob Eckstut bet 1,900 after Kathy Liebert checked. Liebert made it 4,400 and Eckstut called.

The turn was the {10-Spades} and Liebert bet 4,000. Eckstut made the call.

The river was the {A-Spades} and Liebert fired 8,000. Eckstut tanked and then made the call.

Liebert slowly turned over {8-Hearts} {5-Clubs} and Eckstut showed {7-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} for bottom pair. He is now up to 77,500 and Liebert down to 15,500.

Mike Schneider Headed Home

Mike Schneider is the latest person to have his million-dollar dreams crushed and ground under the boot heel of an opponent. He pushed his last 5,000 into the middle holding pocket jacks. Haibo Chu woke up with pocket kings and made the easy call. Neither player improved; Schneider is out of the tournament.

Overheard in the Men's Room

Player 1: "Billy, how much have you got?"
Player 2: "85."
Player 1: "Nice! You should just go to bed now."
Player 2: "How do you figure?"
Player 1: "No need to be greedy."
Player 2: "I think you've got to amass quite a bit more chips than 85 if you're going to win the World Series. Being greedy is what it's all about. How much have you got?"
Player 1: "35."
Player 2: "Maybe you're the one should go to bed."
Player 1: "I was thinking about it, but you've changed my mind."
Player 2: "Glad to be of service."

Do the Hustle

David Robinson and Yves Dupuis really hustled the satellites online for the Main Event. Robinson took down 11 satellites while Dupuis took down three. Any unused satellite seat is worth at least 10,000 in cold hard cash.

James Shot With His Own Bullets

Kenna James is down but not out
Kenna James is down but not out
Kenna James was all in preflop hold the best hand he could have, {A-Spades} {A-Hearts}. The other player in the hand had {8-Diamonds} {8-Hearts}. James had the player covered and was looking to gain some chips. The board ran out {4-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {8-Spades} {J-Hearts} and James' opponent made a full house to suck out on James.

James said, "It took me seven hours and twenty-six minutes to get that hand."

James dropped to 6,250.

The River is Kind to Haralabos

After a {J-Clubs} {7-Spades} {4-Clubs} flop Haralabos Voulgaris called an opponent's 4,700 all-in holding {8-Clubs} {5-Clubs} to his opponent's {A-Diamonds} {J-Hearts}. Voulgaris picked up a double-gutter draw when the {9-Hearts} turned, but it was the flush draw that got there as the {2-Clubs} fell on the river. Voulgaris is now up to 41,000.
