Dropping Like Flies

We are 45 minutes into Day 3's action, and we've lost 100 players already. Things are looking good so far for the remaining field to make the money by day's end.

Christiane Klecz Eliminated

Christiane Klecz on Day 2a
Christiane Klecz on Day 2a
Christiane Klecz ran her {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts} into the {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} of Ara Aprahamian. Klecz caught a king on the {5-Clubs} {K-Spades} {Q-Spades} flop, but improved no further as the turn brought the {10-Clubs} and the river the {7-Diamonds} and she was eliminated.

Karmic Payback for Killing Remus

We caught up with Cero Zuccarello as he raised all in to 40,000 preflop. Romulus Suchovsky made the call.

Suchovsky: {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades}
Zuccarello: {K-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}

Things looked grim for Zuccarello when the flop came down {8-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}, leaving him only with runner-runner options to win the pot. The turn {10-Diamonds} gave him the faintest of hope, and the river {9-Hearts} gave him the pot. Zuccarello now has 80,000 in chips.

Lester Runs Queens Into Kings

Jason Lester from day 2b
Jason Lester from day 2b
David Murray raised to 4,200 and then jason Lester reraised to 13,000. Murray came back over the top to make it 38,000. Lester then stuck another raise in to 98,000. Murray wasn't having any of this and moved all in. Lester made the call and had Murray covered.

Lester: {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}
Murray: {K-Spades} {K-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {5-Spades} and Murray's kings were a tad better than Lester's queens. Lester dropped to 68,000 after this hand.

Tex Barch Doubles Up

Action folded around to Dag Martin Mikkelsen on the button and he raised to 4,200. Tex Barch shoved all in from the big blind for 20,200 total and Mikkelsen made the call. The players showed:

Barch: {Q-Spades} {9-Spades}
Mikkelsen: {K-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}

Barch trailed in the hand, but only slightly. He took the lead on the {9-Hearts} {6-Spades} {2-Hearts} flop and never gave it back. The turn came the {A-Clubs} with the river {7-Spades} behind it and Barch doubled to just under 45,000.

Jennifer Harman - Eliminated
Action folded around to Jennifer Harman in the small blind and she moved all in for 17,300. The big blind, Derei Asher, made the call and the players showed:

Harman: {K-Hearts} {3-Hearts}
Asher: {7-Spades} {7-Diamonds}

The sevens held for Asher as the board ran out {Q-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {4-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} and Harman's day was done.

The Ecstasy and the Agony

Before the flop Darrell Dicken found himself all in with {Q-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} against the {A-Clubs} {A-Spades} of Edward Zane. But Dicken turned the tables on the {K-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {3-Diamonds} flop and suddenly it was Zane who was looking to hit his two-outer.

Which, no doubt to Dicken's dismay, Zane did on the turn, as he caught the {A-Diamonds}. Dicken needed the case queen on the river to reverse the reversal of fortune, but instead it was the {K-Hearts} that fell and Dicken was eliminated. Zane is now up to 200,000.

Timmah!

Marco Savoni got his remaining chips into the pot preflop holding {J-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}. He got action only from Tim "Tmay420" West, who showed down {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}.

The board came out {10-?} {3-?} {5-?} {Q-?} {K-?} with no flush for either player. West hit his queen, and he delivers the death blow to Savoni. With the win, Tmay420 has chipped up to 235,000.
