The Hand That Turned into a Killer

An UTG raise to 9,000 from Steve Ludwick was met with two callers before the flop brought {5-Spades} {K-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}.

It was checked to Ludwick who bet 16,000. Only Casey Kuhn called in the cut-off before the turn came {A-Spades}. In a betting frenzy, the two players' remaining chips were in the middle and the cards were on their backs.

Ludwick turned a set with {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts}, but Kuhn had turned the nuts with {10-Spades} {J-Spades}.

Ludwick needed the board to pair to stay alive, but the river came {J-Diamonds} to seal his fate. Kuhn raked in a very nice sized pot, putting him up to 226,000 in chips.
