Not So Great, Scott

Scott Reaves is out -- he pushed all in and got two callers in the shape of Keith Baker and David Farber, who checked down the {K-Spades} {3-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {K-Hearts} board. Baker took it down with pocket eights, and both the others just mucked.

Teeming With Sorrow

Edward Teems will not be making the money after tangling with Philippe Xie. Teems, had pocket nines, Xie had {A-?} {Q-?}, and and queen on the flop put paid to his tournament dreams.

How Are They Doing?

Jason Mercier: 110,000
Tom McEvoy: 21,000
Alex Millar: roughly what he started with -- he hasn't made it in to the Amazon Room yet
Tom Franklin: 24,000
Bobby Bresner: 135,000
Phil Hellmuth: 56,000
Maridu Mayrinck: 17,000
Dan Martin: 36,000
Andrew Chen: 62,000
Adam Adler: 110,000
Neil Ho: 109,000
Mark Tavich: 71,000
Masasyaki Nagala: 61,000

Busto: Ryan Fair, Harry Melber, Peter Jetten, Matthew Rauch

Rock Crushed

Massive misfortune for Rock Gurney, who got his last in well ahead with pocket kings against Marc Whitford's {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}.

Board: a soul-crushing {6-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds}

Level: 12

Blinds: 800/1,600

Ante: 200

Straight to the Topp

T.J. Cloutier has gone and got himself absolutely crippled, through no fault of his own.

Scott Blackman raised to 3,000, only for Rodney Topp to make it 13,700 form the small blind. Big blind Cloutier moved in for 19,900 total and Blackman got out of the way; Topp called all in, though, and they were on their backs.

Topp: {K-Hearts} {J-Clubs}
Cloutier: {Q-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}

Board: {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {8-Clubs}

Ouch, Cloutier is down to a mere 6,000.

Perry Good, Sir

A full double up for Perry Friedman, his {A-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} staying good against his opponent's {A-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} all the way down the {5-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {2-Clubs} board. Chip went in either before the flop or on it. Friedman up to 67,000.

New Chip Leader

It looks as though we have a new chip leader. A preflop raising war between Zackary Weiler and Masayuki Nagata resulted in Nagata all in thoroughly behind with {Q-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} against Weiler's {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs}. Zero assistance from the board, and Nagata is bust, while Weiler is up to 175,000. Interestingly, Weiler is seated next to the second in chips, Peter Rho. Could be fireworks...
