J.C. Tran Eliminated

J.C. Tran, during Day 1 action
J.C. Tran, during Day 1 action
Who said limit isn't an action game? J.C. Tran entered Day 2 with 22,500 chips and just like that, they've disappeared and he's been sent to the rail.

We caught the action in a raising war on the turn with Tran committing his last 7,300 in the middle on a board reading {9-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Spades}{K-Clubs}. His opponent was Kevin Hong who was compelled to call with his {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} but Tran was way out in front holding {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for a flopped set.

The cruel twist came on the river when the {Q-Hearts} peeled off, giving Hong the two-outer as Tran packed up his bags and headed over to the Amazon Room to jump into the $5,000 No Limit Holdem event.
